Tuesday Morning Coffee Bump.

Well, there are some t-storms up in Central Oklahoma with a cold front that is morning this way but no tornadoes thank goodness.

Here in Comanche OK, all we got was some wind, rain and thunder and that was about it.

I did manage to get through yesterday.

My Cousin Mary Lou (Same name as me...my mom was quite annoyed when her S-I-L used the SAME name for HER first born daughter as Mom did just a few months earlier, but since she was far away in Injun Country, OK, but THAT’S a whole OTHER story which involves WW2 and the USO! LOL!) lives near Tulsa, right off Rt 66. Her son’s wife just had a baby, and due to the baby’s combined heritage, they were able to take advantage of the excellent medical facilities at the Indian Hospital, which is South and West of Tulsa, between Oklahoma City and where she lives. Just two days ago, Mary Lou had driven many miles to the Hospital to pick up the Mom and Baby, when they were caught IN THE CAR en-route. I just happened to call when she was barreling down the highway towards a friend’s home that happened to have an underground shelter (basically a cement room about the size of a septic tank!) As we were talking on the phone, she suddenly started shrieking “I CAN SEE IT! IT’S OVER A MILE WIDE! JESUS, MAKE IT GO AWAY PLEASE JESUS!!!!”

At that point I knew I had to hang up so she could concentrate on her driving!

I called again about a half hour later, and they had arrived at their destination and were going down into the shelter.

Since then, the TV has reported that all the land lines are down and the cell lines are so jammed with people calling their loved ones that it will be hard to get through.

I guess I will have to be patient.

Just Got this email:

“Thank you so much for your awesome prayers. Our Heavenly Father definitely definitely watch over us and all is well. The town of Moore Oklahoma was leveled today, and also yesterday the town of Shawnee was leveled. It is so sad and I know many people in both of those town. Vince Gill is from Moore Oklahoma, and it was also leveled back in 99. They are at least a hundred fifty miles south of me, but that same system is what I saw. I also shot a pretty amazing video of a mile wide all I drove by it for a long time just before you called me. Actually it was right after you called the first time wasn’t it. Everytime I close my eyes I can see it. What a crazy day, and one I have never experienced before and hope to never again. I am about to try and go to sleep as this is close to my bed time, and I hope I don’t have any nightmares. After arriving to my sons small town it was weird to hear that Talala was being hit, but it just went around us to the north and many of my friends watched it just like we did where Warren lives. Sorry no paragraphs but I’m doing this with voice rather than typing. I love you so much and it was great to hear your voice. Please tell me what all you been up to and how you are doing. I love you so much forever . Your Tornado Alley okie la Homa cousin mary-lou”

Thank You For Your prayers!

(((HUGS)))

Thank you...today it’s mostly rain and hail, and that makes it difficult for the responders to do their jobs.

I pray that there are no more tornadoes.

Thank you! The people there are really coming together to help one another...as we are commanded to do in God’s Word. The donations of goods that are needed, and the number of responders helping to find people are just wonderful and overwhelming.

I was just relieved and thankful that my kids were not in the path of that monster storm. They were just north of it...in the same town.

This wasn’t her first tornado,
But it was definitely the WORST.
