Issuing misdemeanor summonses to two of the three people involved in the “brutal attack on an innocent family” at a gas station in north Baton Rouge Sunday night was an “error in judgment” by the officers who did not book the suspects into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, Provisional Police Chief Carl Dabadie Jr., said Friday.
“We have counseled the officers involved and I have re-emphasized to all my commanders that I expect offenders who commit misdemeanor crimes of violence will be booked into the prison, not summonsed,” Dabadie said in a statement.

We were seeing this kind of thing in Baton Rouge, back in the late 1960s.
That was more than 40 years ago, this is nothing new.
If you go to his Facebook page, he justifies the action in terms of it being bigger than just a white man being beaten in a racial attack. I wonder what he means by that, because it sounds like an act of war to me.

All four of them need a little of the Baton Rouge (red stick) applied liberally about the head, shoulders and thicker body parts.

Things like this seem to run in cycles. white on black violence led to a period of where we almost got along with each other. All the while the Community Organizers and Civil Rights Leaders were fanning the flames of black resentment. Now we are seeing a rise in Black on White violence and in a reverse of the first half of the Twentieth Century, the authorities are either justifying it or looking the other way.
Time may be drawing near for a revival of the White Knights.

The description of the attacks certainly sounds like assault and battery, probably racially motivated.
Since when are such crimes misdemeanors? I thought A and B was a felony.
Not a hate crime? Let’s see. A white guy gets the crap beat out of him for wearing a pink shirt. Aren’t pink shirts kinda associated with homosexuals? Isn’t assault on homosexuals a hate crime? Not being judgemental, just saying.
The wife and daughter, were they also wearing pink? Or were they just white? I think the latter, which is also a hate crime.
