Lois Lerner needs to go also.
Steven Miller has not held the position for a full year yet, has he? I haven’t looked it up. But I thought he was just appointed in 2012. This conspiracy dates back to 2010.
He can still be required to testify, no? If he broke the law, he’s not suddenly exempted from it.
“The Buck Stops Over There.”
He wasn't acting director yet, but he was Deputy Commissioner for Services and Enforcement, which put him directly over the Commissioner of the Tax Exempt Entities Division. Before that, he was the Commissioner of the Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division.
Plus, last year he told Congress that the IRS was not targeting conservative groups after he knew that the IRS was in fact targeting conservative groups.
Just because he resigned, that shouldn't let him off the hook for testifying on Friday.
It’s a stop-gap move designed to buy time.
The only path to truth and full disclosure is with a Special Prosecutor.
.... WHEW ..... that was close.... Obama saved us from harm once again ..... we can now sleep easier cuz we're all safe now.
This guy had been in charge for 6 month and before that he handled large industry and international stuff. Talk about your sacrificial lamb.
Big hairy ass deal.
Now who goes to jail?
The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow may be under the bus.
He held a news conference just to say that?
It’s time to name the names! Who and what offices were doing this.
Only the victims can provide this to the public because the Treasury Dept. or the White Hut never will.
Miller took over 11/10/2012. He is the goat.
I found a couple of scapegoats ... and they fell on their swords ... so you stupid Freepers can rest assured that the problem is behind me now!!
Resignation is a step. Imprisonment is also REQUIRED.
*********
Are you talking about the IRS Chief or Obama? :)
Actually the Kenyan /Marxist should be the one to resign.
When I was in the Navy many years ago, the ship failed an important engineering inspection.
The C.O. was forced to resign his command even though it was the engineer's fault.
The same holds true here, the commander in chief is ultimately responsible, not because I despise 0bama (I do),
but because this was a case of using government power to silence political opponents simply
because they had an opposing view.
This is banana republic territory.
