Obama’s Shameful Perpetuation of Lies ['Criminal' activity from the White House on down?]

President Obama used British Prime Minister David Cameron as a human shield as he ranted on about how he and his administration had honestly portrayed the Benghazi terrorist attack.

Obama’s remarks at the press conference with Cameron were a tidy 928 words that covered the relationship between Britain and the United States. Following the remarks of Obama and Cameron, the first two questions asked by a reporter concerned the current IRS and Benghazi scandals. Obama launched into a defense of 1,192 words,

Well, let me take the IRS situation first. I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this. I think it was on Friday. And this is pretty straightforward.

If, in fact, IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that had been reported on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that's outrageous and there's no place for it.

Such actions by the IRS are also criminal. The question is if the criminal activity began in the Obama White House.

Obama then launched into Benghazi with another lie,

With respect to Benghazi, we've now seen this argument that's been made by some folks primarily up on Capitol Hill for months now. And I've just got to say -- here's what we know. Americans died in Benghazi. What we also know is clearly they were not in a position where they were adequately protected. The day after it happened, I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.

Obama also claimed during the second Presidential Debate that he called the Benghazi attack “an act of terror” during his remarks in the White House Rose Garden on day 1.

ROMNEY: I -- I think interesting the president just said something which -- which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.

OBAMA: That's what I said.

In his remarks on 12 September 2012, President Obama did not refer to the Benghazi attack and assassination as “an act of terror” but instead only generally mentioned terror once.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.

However, Obama, Ambassador Susan Rice, and others from the Obama Administration continued for two weeks to deny it was a terrorist attack.

Obama continued with his answer on Monday,

The whole issue of talking points, frankly, throughout this process has been a sideshow. What we have been very clear about throughout was that immediately after this event happened we were not clear who exactly had carried it out, how it had occurred, what the motivations were. It happened at the same time as we had seen attacks on U.S. embassies in Cairo as a consequence of this film. And nobody understood exactly what was taking place during the course of those first few days.

And the emails that you allude to were provided by us to congressional committees. They reviewed them several months ago, concluded that, in fact, there was nothing afoul in terms of the process that we had used. And suddenly, three days ago, this gets spun up as if there’s something new to the story. There’s no “there” there.

Keep in mind, by the way, these so-called talking points that were prepared for Susan Rice five, six days after the event occurred pretty much matched the assessments that I was receiving at that time in my presidential daily briefing. And keep in mind that two to three days after Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday shows, using these talking points, which have been the source of all this controversy, I sent up the head of our National Counterterrorism Center, Matt Olsen, up to Capitol Hill and specifically said it was an act of terrorism and that extremist elements inside of Libya had been involved in it.

Several in the Left Wing of the news media are also jumping on the Obama lies. The New Yorker wrote,

It’s a cliché, of course, but it really is true: in Washington, every scandal has a crime and a coverup. The ongoing debate about the attack on the United States facility in Benghazi where four Americans were killed, and the Obama Administration’s response to it, is no exception. For a long time, it seemed like the idea of a coverup was just a Republican obsession. But now there is something to it.

On Friday, ABC News’s Jonathan Karl revealed the details of the editing process for the C.I.A.’s talking points about the attack, including the edits themselves and some of the reasons a State Department spokeswoman gave for requesting those edits. It’s striking to see the twelve different iterations that the talking points went through before they were released to Congress and to United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice, who used them in Sunday show appearances that became a central focus of Republicans’ criticism of the Administration’s public response to the attacks. Over the course of about twenty-four hours, the remarks evolved from something specific and fairly detailed into a bland, vague mush.

Gary Bauer commented on Monday,

Think about this: We know the CIA immediately told the State Department it was Al Qaeda-linked terrorists who attacked the consulate. But we now know that the State Department and the White House were telling the CIA, "You can't say that!" So, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice went on five national talk shows and blamed the attack on a video.

When that ridiculous lie fell apart, the White House said, "That's what the CIA and intelligence community told us!" When caught lying, they lied again and blamed the CIA for giving them bad intelligence!

It is amazing how Obama is continuing to defend his previous lies on Benghazi with fresh lies. It is time for Speaker of the House John Boehner to appoint a Select Committee on Benghazi.

Lies, lies, and more lies.

Attempted cover-ups of scandals, criminal activities, and basic protection of American diplomats overseas.

Obama needs to be impeached! And now!

Great comment by Kjo —

I’ve figured out President Obama’s obsession with Hollywood: He doesn’t want to BE the President of the United States, he wants to PLAY the President of the United States. The tragedy in Benghazi was really just Jason Bourne seeking revenge; the IRS abusing it’s power to pressure political opposition just the pretext to a Tom Clancy thriller. And the FAST AND FURIOUS operation to arm known Mexican thugs? Well, the President was confused with the movie of the same title. Life, as the President sees it from the Oval office is just a series of acts, scenes he dictates from the comfort of his director’s chair and a bowl of popcorn. The problem for the President is that the reviews his glowing press produced were nothing more than Hollywood propaganda; this saga has us left thinking that Afflect’s Gigli, by comparison, wasn’t so bad.

I watched the press conference with David Cameron in real time. Obama was clearly stumbling to answer the question on Benghazi and the IRS. He no longer seems so sure of himself. He looked tired, afraid, and discombobulated. Worse, the content of his answer was lies that we all now know to be lies.

The faces of the media revealed that they were stunned. Absolutely stunned, in their eyes it must have been a pipitiful performance.

Don’t look for any more press conferences. I thought Jay Carney’s press conference on Friday was far better, though equally ineffective.

To the LEFT, lying is not “shameful.” Conservatives do not understand the enemy. The end justifies the means. Repeat three times.

when even the President of Russia admits “nobody knows who Obama is”, when the top is rotten and refuses to provide fundamental records, yes, it is a criminal enterprise from the top down.
