Steven T. Miller, the acting IRS commissioner who managed the division that has admitted targeting anti-Obama Tea Party groups, was one of several agents who investigated anti-Clinton organizations including Judicial Watch during that Democrat´s administration, according to court documents and interviews. Miller, who headed the IRS Services and Enforcement Division from 2009 until the end of last year, is named in court documents as part of a trio of Internal Revenue Service officials who allegedly characterized the 1998-2001 investigation of Judicial Watch as politically motivated.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Bringing down the whole democrat party.
TREASON - entrenched unaccountable bureaucrats (socialists) elevating to TOTALITARIAN tactics for the powers that be when the time is right.
TREASON
Miller is ‘acting’ ~ that is not exactly being ‘entrenched’ ~ however, 9/11 distracted the Republicans from taking care of business and purging these people out so far they’d be herding sheep North of Ulan Bator.
“What difference does it make? This was a long time ago!!”, said the left wing extremists.
Trust that if a lawyer sends a correspondence to the IRS it is very likely reviewed by a lawyer standard operating procedure. It’s virtually inconceivable that any IRS agents are corresponding in any depth with groups represented by lawyers without the involvement of IRS lawyers -else they might easily and unwittingly compromise the IRS’s position.
Sadly, many of the groups weren’t represented by lawyers and devulged data they weren’t required too, but still many were represented by lawyers. Which ultimately begs the question, didn’t the IRS Lawyers recognize there are an awful lot of conservatives being scrutinized? => Speaks to the culture of the agency.
I was wondering who else remembered the Clinton era abuse of IRS audits.
L.A. broadcaster George Putnam was one of Clinton’s targets.
Obama would have US believe that a couple of agents got a bug up their dupa and acted on their own. The IRS is a bureacracy in which what any agent does goes through layer of bureaucracies and approval up the chain of command.
The forms the IRS send out goes through that chain and finally signed off by COMB congressional office of management and budget. Those forms the IRS sent out did not have their sign off.(thanks to a caller tip to Mark Levin show)
What I’m waiting for and haven’t heard it yet is; When Obama only learned about this was after he read it in the newspapers......He was too busy on the golf course....
They couldn’t have done this as long as they did without cover from the MSM....
The press will start covering for democrats soon - they’re dependent on them for good stories.
Thanks for the post. "Acting" for who? At whose behest? (Even more to the point for recent, "acting" politically appointed bureaucrats by the powers that be)
TREASON
I remember George. Tough old bird.
So he's just one of the employees waiting on a new boss and he said he didn't know whatever it is he did know.
Like I said, I think this was worked out by Tim Geitner and his cronies at Treasury Department level ~ the TEAParty and pro-Israel Jews are, of course, his natural enemies!
However, we now know this story covers more parts of IRS than just Cincy.
Plus, one more thing ~ it was folks in Washington DC who asked about MEMBERS and DONORS ~ not the field offices. The field guys probably knew nothing about that. At the same time we don't know that the guys in DC were actually IRS ~
Thanks. Interesting analysis. They’re all on the same page BUMP!
TREASON - continuous, pre-meditated, AGENDA-DRIVEN, in-your-face, media-complicit, AGENCY-ABETTED, representative-enabled, ongoing...
I remember in the 1990s writing a letter to the Clinton whitehouse in the 1990s protesting his abortion policies. Within two years I was audited two years in a row. I was a grad student with almost no income.
I went to the Cincinnati IRS office to complain about tax penalties that I did not understand. I had paid my taxes but was assessed hundreds of dollars in fines. I was told I could pay the penalties with interest or go to jail.
I regularly protested at aborttion clinics. I still think the IRS targeted me for political reasons.
This is in fact TREASON against our Constitution. He should be tried and if found guilty, he should be ********.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled IRS boss of Tea Party probes targeted anti-Clinton group in 1990s, muawiyah wrote:
The ‘forms’ thing isn’t highly informative ~ my forms always advised people of the $10,000 fine and 2 years in prison.

Not talking about the standard filing forms you pick up at a post office. These are forms sent by the IRS developed from a computer program designed by two Cinci whiz kids to intercept filings by opponents of the regime questioning policy.
Fire him.
