The Internal Revenue Service's scrutiny of conservative groups went beyond those with "tea party" or "patriot" in their namesas the agency admitted Fridayto also include ones worried about government spending, debt or taxes, and even ones that lobbied to "make America a better place to live," according to new details of a government probe.
The investigation also revealed that a high-ranking IRS official knew as early as mid-2011 that conservative groups were being inappropriately targetednearly a year before then-IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman told a congressional committee the agency wasn't targeting conservative groups.

I’d like for you to be right and have thought the same thing, that people who know would begin to talk. We may not know but surely believe that some people know lots of incriminating things. They have to be afraid to risk talking.
I thought the poor guys in Justice who stuck their necks out on fast and furious and got left hanging out to dry, or so it seems to me, would cause others to be very reticent about talking. Issa made all that noise and it has gone to court in an administration and justice dept delaying action.
This IRS and Benghazi thing have to grow legs with the press and get some support for others to stick their heads above the parapet. It could happen. Maybe people are getting sick of being played for fools and lied to. They have been such fools up until now I don’t have much confidence in any of them.
And what ever became of the persecution of conservative car dealers who were forced out of business in 2009?
NOT A THING.
This may be as serious as Watergate. If Obama knew about this even a year ago, it’s worse than Watergate.
When are the impeachment hearings?
Without a name and specifics this info is worthless.
Well now, isn't that an interesting connection . . .
Typical Obama administrative solution to a major political headache in 2011 and 2012.
This affair reminds me of Clinton escapade with the FBI files
Obviously these people are insane.
A suit by Mark Levin's group, The Landmark Legal Foundation, prompted this. The suit was forcing the Inspector General to look into this.
Even FOX won't mention this.

I agree with you. There’s a lot of pent-up anger even among government employees at the abuse of our system by the ideological, dictatorial Obama regime. A lot of them, however, were simply too afraid to complain. But now that people are coming forward on Benghazi, the other people who have been misused and abused by the Obama regime have gotten the courage to speak up.
If this is indeed true, and it appears as if there is more than just smoke here now, it is terrible for the country because it means the tenacles of lib politics have gotten inside every government agency including the agency with only one political appointee, maybe two now, the IRS. That means these people are acting like our islamic enemies, that is, you never know when one of them is going to go off on their own. In all these agencies now, there are cells of libs and lib sypathizers who operate much like the old commie party. Rooting them out is going to be extremely difficult and there is no Joe MaCarthy here to do it. A good indication of how bad it is can be seen by just following the voting paterns around DC, those counties vote heavily for the democraps and coincidently they are the highest paid per capita in the US....kind of like having your hand in the cookie jar and locking the kitchen doors.
That would be us. WE need to take these bastards down.
I have been quite vocal since bozo was elected, and re-elected, through various channels, and they have been harassing me of late....not sure if there is any correlation, however.
Exactly. It's going to be hard to get the employees to turn on The Won, because when the government is the distributor of all largesse (and civil service jobs pay an average of 20% more than the same jobs in private industry), it becomes desirable to these people to make the government bigger and stronger all the time.
I think it's possible that there are some ethical people who are a little ashamed at having been compromised, and it's also possible that there are some who are afraid because they have seen what the government can do to someone when it turns on them for one reason or another, and they may feel that going public now is the best way of protecting themselves.
I hope so, at least, because we are seeing the development of a massively corrupt and oppressive government that cannot be allowed to continue in this direction.
Start looking at the union....
Colleen M. Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, said their support of Obama was never in question, as union members believe that Obama “has stood with federal employees 90% of the time.”
Kelley, a former IRS Revenue Agent, was first elected to the unions top post in August 1999, after a four-year term as national executive vice president. She was overwhelmingly re-elected to a fourth term in August 2011.
