Prince Harry has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on the latest leg of his US tour. The Prince, who has served twice in Afghanistan, was taken around some of the cemetery's 70 sections where military casualties from the US civil war to Afghanistan are buried. He also placed a wreath with a personal note next to the gravestone of Michael L Stansberry Jr, who died in July 2010. Dressed in the uniform of the Blues and Royals, it appeared a sombre and poignant moment for the Apache co-pilot gunner, acutely aware of the sacrifices made in battle. Sky's Royal Commentator Alastair Bruce said: "He knows the nature of how death can impact upon military life while in combat, and how important it is for a nation to mark and respect those that put their lives in danger on behalf of the nation's national interest. "In Arlington, the United States demonstrates exactly that. "Since it started its global war on terror, there have been an enormous number of funerals there, and so many of them associated with the battles that Prince Harry's friends have been involved with too."

Said state of affairs when I believe that Prince Harry has and shows infinitely more respect for our military and fallen soldiers than out own GD _resident.
Thank you Harry. Sorry cinc should have as much regard for our troops or for England.
Ditto what you said.
Prince Harry is a vet , actually still serving, he;s been in a combat unit which is a big difference to a support unit.
Unlike this CIC ,[I hate writing that about bozo as he never earned it]
He and his family have closed out house we pay for, have never done a day proper work in their life, and only care about pushing homosexuality, cross dressing, into the military while also having concerts, dinners, and parties for their big donors and media pals
Consanguinity, as Churchill said.
Prince Harry is an actual combat veteran and showed incredible class by honoring US war dead in this way. This is a direct contrast to Obama who has snubbed the Brits at every turn.
Not even close. Why in hell is he here, dosing flowers on Our Soldiers.
Harry, would you become my son?
My great hope for the US’s future and “today’s generation” is that we have so many who have served that here is the core of a new foundation - ala Harry - being laid.
My thoughts exactly.
...”Since it started its global war on terror, there have been an enormous number of funerals there, and so many of them associated with battles that Prince Harry’s friends have been involved with too.”... Anyone catching the phrasing on this load of crap?
He's doing it to honor the dead.
Hmm, most people don't need that explained. Maybe you should stop seething with irrational hatred.
Wut? You have a problem with someone, anyone, honoring our war dead? Please explain.
Good grief. You have a problem with a combat veteran honoring the dead?
What is your major malfunction?
He is not honoring anyone. Not even himself, or proxy by birth. Unatural emotionalism is bs. This pure crap.
Yes, I have a problem with a pr stunt, over the remains of Our Fallen.
Ever hear the term “this too shall pass”? Well, IMHO Harry and William have enormous class and represent Britain well. They are intelligent enough to see that this @#&!* that currently occupies the White House will NOT be there forever and that Britain's extremely strong ties to the USA will withstand this “bump in the road” disgusting occupant. Long after this @#*&& is gone, Britain and the USA will forever be allies and BFF’s so to speak.
Class act on his part and I commend him for doing so. And that bust of Winston Churchill - it shall be returned TO the White House at some point.
In Prince Harry’s case, yes I do.
