230.9. (a) It shall be unlawful for a large employer, as defined in Section 14199.1 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, to designate an employee as an independent contractor or temporary employee, reduce an employee's hours of work, or terminate an employee if the purpose of the action is to avoid the employer's obligations under Article 7 (commencing with Section 14199) of Chapter 7 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Welfare and Institutions Code.
They’re not far from it...

Unless an employer says it was Obamacare how will CA govt prove it?
Dang, Democrats really do want to implement Cloward/Pivan.
Directive 10-289.
upcoming - it will be unlawful for businesses to move, or go out of business, to reduce their tax profiles or reduce their obamacare obligatios.
Ah. That explains the earthquake I just felt...
forgot, unlawful to fire employees to reduce obamacare obligations, too.
Straight out of Atlas Shrugged. Not only must you obey the insane new laws, you must also not adjust your business to minimize the impact of those laws. You MUST take the maximum damage from their screwed-up ideas and “feel-good” foolishness.
Directive 10-289?
It’s not the politicians that don’t deserve any economy — it’s the people of California who elect these numbnuts.
Hey Chevron, Texas awaits you with open arms.
The democrat controlled state legislature is doing to California what Jodi Arias did to her ex-boyfriend.
This would in fact be one effect of an implementation of the infamous Directive 10-289 of “Atlas Shrugged”.
I just hope I see the day that the Welfare queens/kings get shorted by their need for ever-increasing "stuff". I relish the day they have to sit in the Emergency Rooms even longer for their baby's sniffles.
I'm now talking to Realtors in Reno, NV and parts of Arizona.
A coworker told me a friend of his in this state has 58 employees. He is forming a second business and placing 29 under eachh one.
Texas is about to get a whole lot busier.”
After trying to drive in the city traffic in Houston today at 5 p.m. I would like to say that I hope no one else moves here. Between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. are about the only times you can get where you are going within a reasonable amount of time. It’s beyond ridiculous.
I encourage people to click through to the actual text of this legislation, and skim it, noting what a belligerent morass of intrusive regulations it proposes.
I can’t imagine what companies (let alone normal , working, traditional American families) would want to remain in California, but I’ve been flabberghasted for years that the place is still livable at all.
Who wants to be “the last white farmer in Zimbabwe”?
If not "retroactive", the socialists will put a new law in place. The communists are now in complete control of the once Golden State. Hope they will be happy with reduced business and personal revenues. I foresee riots like Greece. Mark my word.
Dang, you outta send those retards a direct message. “Hey, Chevron, look out- Texas welcomes you with open arms! 353FMG said so!” Get to it you dummies. Thank goodness, there are good men like you- pullin’ the load.
lol- Force them to buy somethign they can’t afford, then fien htem for making sound business decisions to try to save their company- Way to go-
I have a friend that worked for the national park for eleven years before they put him on permanently. Will California go after the feds?
