Nine days after Tebow was released by the New York Jets, it has become increasingly clear that the ultra-popular quarterback who has hijacked many a news cycle has no viable landing spot. No NFL team seems to want him as a starter, backup, converted H-back or fake-punt decoy and it's not like he's fending off big-money offers from Canada, either. Now, here's the interesting part: Tebowmania is at least partly to blame.

Well then now would be a good time for Tebow to start pursuing it.
Well, baseball has ‘switch hitters’ and there are frequently references to a batter ‘going the other way’. :=)
He can look to Danny Wuerffel for inspiration. BTW Congratulations Danny, on making the College Football Hall of Fame.
Unfortunately, Tebow hasn't proved he could do part 1. The distraction part is there, although not all his fault. A lot of people act like Tebow's the first Christian to play in the NFL.
On the homo side, Chris Kluwe got released. He's a distraction. Scott Fujita is retired. Brendan Ayanbadejo was released.
Don't be a distraction.
>>Tebow needs to be a running back or fullback or something to do with knocking other men down like bowling pins while carrying the ball because hes really good at that. Why he wont do what John Kuhn does escapes me.<<
The problem is when the NFL wants a running back, it wants a running back. A running QB is NOT a running back.
And even with some running QBs (Vick, etc.) they can throw the ball pretty well.
Jack of all trades, master of none. And the NFL is extremely specialized.
Do post your verifiable NFL resume.
Agree completely. Who wants a backup that generates controversy like Tebow does?
Designing an offensive system around him for a change of pace??
Gimicky at best and counter productive at worst.
NFL teams need all their quarterbacks on the roster to be able to complete most of the NFL suite of passes first and foremost.
If they can mix in low-risk run or two, fine. But they got to be able to pass the ball first.
Here's the article:

Best shot for Tebow is Canada. It worked for Warren Moon and Doug Flutie.
It must drive you nuts that he turned around the Denver franchise and won so many games without the ability to throw or catch.
Sounds like Tebow is going to spend some time in arena football.
If he wants to move back to the big league, he’ll have to earn it. I think he can do it too.
It's a miracle.
Don’t know much about history, do you. The government was involved with football (and in particular player safety) well over 100 years ago.

This has nothing to do with persecution. This has to do with a lack of skill. The NFL could care less about your background. If you can play at a high level, and put butts in the seats, and money in the owners pockets, they want you.
Moon and Flutie could pass.
Moon and Flutie could pass.
Publicity is otherwise considered a positive for NFL teams, event he bad kind. Given the amount of money made in selling NFL merchandise, you might think that having a broad fan base would be viewed as a positive.
After all, the purpose of an NFL franchise is to make money. Winning is only a priority as far as it enhances the income stream. However, like the media, there are some core values that the NFL appears unwilling to waiver on, even if that means giving up income.
The sports media came to hate Tebow for who he was, in a way that they just couldn't muster for Michael Vick.
Oh? Like Eric Crouch? He won the Heisman. He went nowhere. Or Jason White? Or Chris Weinke? All Heisman winners at QB. Heard from any of those fellows lately?
What it takes to win a Heisman at QB and what it takes to be successful in the NFL are two different things.
Tebow only threw three or four passes a game? Ill give you a comparison between two players:
Player A completed 851 of 1,354 passes (63%) in college, vs 661 of 985 (67%) for Tebow.
Player A racked up 11,210 yards, vs 9,286 for Tebow.
Player A threw for 8.27 yards per attempt, vs 9.43 YPA for Tebow.
Player A threw for 90 TDs, vs 88 for Tebow.
Player A threw 33 interceptions, vs 15 for Tebow.
Player As college QB rating was 100.93, vs 120.72 for Tebow.
Player A, of course, was Peyton Manning.
