I think it’s worth remembering how the Obama campaign sought to smear Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan for raising legitimate questions about an egregious foreign policy failure that was made even uglier by false explanations.
The Obama campaign accused Romney and Ryan of being “reckless and irresponsible” for focusing on Benghazi and the White House line about a video having caused the tragedy.
“The entire reason this has become the political topic it is – it’s because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan,” said the Obama campaign’s most agressive flack, Stephanie Cutter.
Brett Baier of Fox News tore her apart. It’s a compelling exchange that also includes the snippet of Obama suggesting, a week after the attack, that the anti-Islamic video was responsible for Benghazi.

Remember the media attacking Romney the morning after the deadly terrorist attack, saying he had no business speaking out? They weren’t even mildly curious as to where Obama and Hillary were for 8 hours while four Americans were calling for help and finally were dying without it.
The media should be excoriated for it’s shameless behavior in this sorry episode.
Stephanie Cutter is a lying pig. She’s the one who had previous conversations with the man in that ad who claimed Romney was responsible for his wife’s death. All the while the Dems said they knew nothing of him. PHONY, LYING CHEATERS!!
Good play by Obama, it worked.
Romney dropped the whole subject after he commented on it prematurely.
So then he let Obama completely off the hook in the debates.

Right—they made Romney gunshy about the failure of the Obama administration Middle East policy. His comment was made before the four Americans were killed in Libya (reacting to the earlier events in Cairo) but I believe the media made it appear they were made after the deaths.
That is exactly what I saw,
the same fools who daily post how the ‘mean lib media’ brought down Bush and others were suddenly posting that the same media would call Obama out on it before the election, so Romney didnt have to in the debates or campaign.
Yeah, and then Romney went and cowered in a corner for a month. Gingrich would have attacked each and every day. But conervatives actually like to fight. Moderates like to be “granted” nominations, then offices, with others doing the fighting.

Remember during the debates Romney started to make the point that obama and his people were trying to minimize to the fact it was a terrorist attack claiming it was a spontaneous response and protest against an unislamic video. Romney made the point that’s all we heard for two weeks, but Candy said oh no actually the president did call it an act of terror. We then heard bambi screech “get the transcript Candy!’ If anyone doubts that Candy and obama’s camp had a strategy worked out to shut Romney down if he mentioned Benghazi they’re blind because it sure seemed rehearsed and coordinated to me! Remember Candy promised that Romney wasn’t going to get out of hand on her debate like he did with Jim Leher.
The Republicans have to start being firm no more debates until we get Rush,Levin,Malkin etc. I’m tired of watching George Stephonopolis who started in the movie the war room with James Carville “moderating” Republican primary debates.
The news media is going to make this a tragedy that was unavoidable but now partisan Republicans are going after obama and hillary just to score cheap points and as a smoke screen to cover their tracks after defeating common sense gun control laws that the people really wanted.
