Chuck Todd has defended the Obama admin's decision not to send more special ops to Benghazi.
Appearing on today's Morning Joe, NBC News political director Todd claimed that the decision to send only two special ops to Benghazi was "very rational." He also literally laughed off the notion that Benghazi could boil into a major scandal.

Chuck Todd: 'Very Rational' Not To Have Sent More Special Ops to Benghazi Is he saying Obama sent any special ops to Benghazi, or did I misread it? What does he mean, 'more special ops'? Is he referring to the people at the 'safehouse'? Perhaps I missed something.

Chuck Todd needs to be sent blown-up pictures of Chris Stevens being dragged around by the mob. For me, that photo has all the horrible punch of the one where we see a young woman buried up to her waist being stoned to death.
These media types have hearts of stone.

You can be sure that if there’s another nuclear meltdown in Japan, Caroline Kennedy will be the first one rescued.

It both saddens me and makes me angry that he would laugh at the deaths of 4 Americans serving on foreign soil. I’m sure the Spec Ops community is not amused at his reporting/commenting/or whatever he calls it.

There is something wrong with the kidnapping logic. They had Stevens alive before he was tortured and murdered. There was no way for the WH to guarantee Stevens would be captured alive and kept alive. The whole idea he would be captured and exchanged presupposes the attack to begin with. I think there is something more sinister that required some fast thinking and hence the phony video-blame-game. Whatever was going on required some cover-up, perhaps even the death of Stevens though that too could not be assured. There is no measure of evil I would put beyond this WH.

I don’t have a doubt in my mind that it was, and the intent was to blame Romney and the republicans of collaborating with the terrorist to make Obama look like another Jimmy Carter.
I also don’t believe Obama was supposed to be reelected. I believe this was set up by Hillary to help her run against Romney in 2016, much the same as Hillary set up “Bush knew” after the 1st 9/11. Hillary would have run in 2004 but Charles Baron screwed up and derailed her dirty tricks campaign, not once but twice.

That's brilliant, F. Chuck.
It is "very rational" to cut and run in the face of evil.
Good should never confront evil.
Leave Obama alone.

Sure, otherwise those lives might have been saved. Can’t have that.

If it was so rational, why did they have to cover it up?

Those that think it is hopeless can just give up... I never will and I will not allow the left to break my hope for this Republic. I understand how you feel but Washington faced far more danger and the odds were much worse for him and the Colonial Army... and they never gave up and they were victorious. We shall be also.

Yes, Todd, it may have been not the right move to send more security from the Embassy in Tripoli.
And what about the Special Ops who were ready to go in Italy? Why no mention?
