No, Amnesty will NOT expand the economy [Amnesty and the Economy]
AMERICAN THINKER ^ | May 8, 2013 | Jonathon Moseley

Posted on 05/08/2013 4:41:30 AM PDT by Moseley

Economic fallacies are being hurled at the Heritage Foundation to attack its study of amnesty for illegal immigrants. On May 6, Heritage released its study calculating a $6.3 trillion price tag for the “Gang of Eight” proposal. Amnesty promoters recall that a similar study by Heritage blocked amnesty in 2007.

To implement the Gang of Eight’s “Muriel Boat Lift, The Sequel” amnesty advocates seek to discredit the study. So they accuse Heritage of ignoring the expansion of the U.S. economy that amnesty will cause. Therefore, they say, Heritage over-states the true cost of amnesty at $6.3 trillion. They offer no data or analysis to support those claims.

But that calculation is very simple: $0.00. That’s how much amnesty will expand the economy.

Why? The U.S.A. has a surplus of unskilled labor already, and a surplus of nearly all types of labor. So expanding the country’s labor surplus will not expand the economy. It is a purely faith-based assertion that adding 10 to 30 million more low-skilled workers to the existing surplus will grow the U.S. economy.

We are told: “By adding more workers into the U.S. economy, the size of the economy is able to expand, American firms are able to expand production and the 90 percent of American workers who have different skills than immigrants see increases in their wages and productivity,” Alex Nowrasteh, an immigration policy analyst at Cato, told The Hill.

Balderdash. Over 9 million working-age Americans gave up trying to find a job since Obama became President, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (U.S. Department of Labor). Over 9 million people gave up on their dreams completely, their hopes dashed by liberal policies. With so many American citizens sitting on the sidelines, out of work, how could amnesty possibly expand the economy?

We need more poor to expand our economy??
These are the same people who Dems whine about being poor ‘in the richest country’ demanding more and more handouts from taxpayers.

In fact HBO recently did a documentary called America Winter about all the families in USA without enough food.

The Untouchable Aspect of Amnesty

Subject: recipro

In that May 3rd speech Obama gave before the Mexican Anthropological Museum in which he blamed America for the violence in Mexico I believe he went even futhur. There’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements US made with Mexico where Obama hinted he seems to side with the Mexican claims. Would those in attendence share that view is a question that should be asked, because I believe they would,.he does.

As a counter to the amnesty push I’ve been arguing for reciprocal treatment. Pointing out that the Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.

Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory.

We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national flag (standard) gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions particularly schools accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.

Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico.

By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.

The terrorist Tsarnaev family sucked up tax dollars bigtime---"impoverished" terrorist Tamerlan drove a flashy silver Mercedes and dressed in designer clothes.

Thanks to federal and state taxpayers, he had the time and money to travel to Russia, buy pressure cookers and bomb components and was fed well as he built at least six bombs in Boston.

HOW MANY IDENTITIES DO THEY HAVE RIDING THE US GRAVY TRAIN? The terrorist Tsarnaev family scattered over several states need rigorous scrutiny WRT to the financing of their lifestyles.

A look at Tamerlan's reading list on Amazon reveals his interest in creating faked/forged identities.....a common practice by illegal immigrants. Each identity collects bigtime---riding the US gravy train.

===================================================

No question the Beastie Brothers who abducted/imprisoned and tortured three girls were on the dole. Ariel Castro owned a home, motorcycles, played in a band, went clubbing....with no visible means of support.

How many identities did the Ohio Beastie Brothers have?

===================================

REFERENCES---NJ BERGEN RECORD CIRCA 2004---Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity (many latinos establish multiple identities in order to ride the US gravy train).

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said NJ state police.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. After a search, police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

Per some recent reports, illegal north-bound traffic across the southern border has increased, primarily due to the amnesty talk.

==

Rubio’s plan kicks the ‘secure the border’ plan down the road up to 5 years under Homeland Security's direction. [Yeah, right, like HSD has done such a stellar job since that monstrosity was created.] If HSD fails to ‘secure the border’ then a special commission is set up.

1. What will the commission do — besides write a report and pay high salaries to the members of that commission?

2. How many MORE millions illegals will have entered during that 5 year span?

==

This whole thing is not much different that the plans that have been offered since 2001-2002.

McCain and Graham tried to put lipstick on this pig.

Bush II tried to put lipstick on this pig.

Now, Rubio is out there trying to put lipstick on this pig.
