Michelle Obama told an audience attending her book signing Tuesday that the White House garden is still semi-open to the public because visitors can see it through the fence.
She was promoting her book, American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, released in May 2012.
[M]y goal in this book is to share the story of the creation of the garden, Michelle Obama said during the Tuesday morning signing at Washingtons Politics and Prose Bookstore, because while it is semi-open to the public because if you visit the White House along the South Lawn, you can see the garden from outside of the White House.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Now we know what the Obamas meant when they promised openness in government.
OUR F-IN HOUSE lard ass, WE PAY FOR IT, you do not, and yet you close it on us and yet you bring your family and pals in to have cocktail parties on OUR DIME.
If only the media would do their frigging job,
Yes, indeed. Because anybody with access to the internet can use google-maps to zoom in from above on the white hut, that makes their
entire operation the most open in history.
More stupidity from Imelda Obama.
LOL. Michelle Antoinette strikes again. The peasants can look through the fence at Michelle’s garden until she sees them and orders the palace guard to round them up and move them so they don’t obstruct her view.

The Hameau de la Reine, The Queen’s Hamlet) is a rustic retreat in the park of the Château de Versailles built for Marie Antoinette in 1783 near the Petit Trianon in the Yvelines, France. It served as a private meeting place for the Queen and her closest friends, a place of leisure.
Marie liked to pretend she was a milk maid. This little fancy became fashionable among the french nobility. For awhile.
“If only the media would do their frigging job,”
Well that poses a problem.....the pals coming for cocktails are media and they consider yucking it up with Obama IS their job.
Bttt lol
Re; Marie Antoinette-
Good find. I will be tweeting that :)
American Grown....or how to wear your belt around your tummy until one of your 16 handlers say’s “wat da ell is dat?”
Unreal.....I so hate these evil piles.
My grandmother once visited the White House Rose Garden in the early 50s. She actually got to meet and speak with Mrs. Eisenhower. While there she asked and was given permission by the First Lady to take a small cutting from John Quincy Adams’ famous blue rose bush.
She was able to graft the cutting onto her own rose bush with white and red roses on it already for what she then called her Patriot’s Rose Bush. It’s been 30 years since she passed. I wonder what ever became of her roses.
“can use google-maps ... “
Or look at a picture of it, or read about it.
“Semi-open to the public” - cool
“Semi-open to the public”? Sounds like Pamela Anderson or Madonna...
I can't decide which one I like better. :-D
