CLEVELAND (CBS Cleveland/AP) Cleveland officials say they have no records of anyone calling about criminal activity at the house where three kidnapped women were kept for years before being found.

Was the alleged perp on welfare?
What's the odds they are illegal immigrants?
On a side note does anyone else think the neighbor that saved these girls looks EXACTLY like the Heineken Looter guy from Hurricane Katrina?
If you look at the article here:
You will see different flags outside the house. A few images show an American flag. Yet, other images show a Puerto Rican flag.

Authorities believe Castro, who was once a city school bus driver, was keeping the women locked inside his modest two-story home, which he has owned since 1992, ABC News has learned.
The story is just plain weird. How do you hold people captive for that long? You’d think there would be a slip-up more recently than now.
Sounds eerily like the Jeffrey Dahmer case. Prior home visits from donut cops.
Wow, that raised the hair on the back of my neck.
Sick isn’t it. I had the same reaction.
YES....He has redeemd himself!
I have not dug into this very deep.
But we need to remember, in my rare defense of LEO investigative SOP, we don’t expect anyone to enter a house or confiscate property or search without probable cause and/or a warrant.
We need to be careful about what LEO should have known or could have done even if one of the perps had previous contact with LEO.
Wow. That is sick.
LOL, my husband’s words exactly.
There was a case like this in California a few years ago. A nutcase had kidnapped a girl, kept her locked in a shed in the backyard, and even had three children with her. He had a wife, btw, who had actually helped him kidnap the girl. The children were rarely seen and when they were, were assumed to belong to the wife. Apparently in this new Cleveland case as well, nobody even knew there was also a 6 yr old girl in the house, the daughter of one of the kidnapped girls.
IIRC in the California case, the house had even been visited by social workers for some unrelated reason, and they saw nothing amiss.
Business Insider is reporting that the article was written by the son of the alleged kidnapper:

Thank you.
I believe that was written by his son. The son has the same name, Ariel, but now goes by the name Anthony.
Still, sick sick sick.
Your instincts are good, little one. They'ze be some cooperatin' on the victims part to stay put until they tired of these guys.
Did you really just write that? Got any evidence to back that up?
