The buzz these days is that Senator Ted Cruz from Texas will run for president in 2016. Does that sound too bold?
It is much less important to have two or three presidential terms under men like Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and Romney -- the presidential nominees since Reagan left office -- than one or two presidential terms under a transformative conservative leader who intends to reclaim the nobility and virtue or America and create in our nation a model which the rest of the world can see.
Reagan and Cruz both grasp the deadly moral and mental toxin of Marxism. The sins of the left, from ObamaCare to a destructively high progressive income tax to the myriad categories of notionally aggrieved classes requiring preferred treatment by government, are all rooted in Marxism.
Ted Cruz correctly and courageously talks about the Marxist domination of Harvard Law School. Go back a few decades in American political history.
Gerald Ford in his 1976 foreign policy debate with Carter was so eager to pussyfoot around the issue of Marxist evil that he famously stated that the Soviet Union had not dominated Poland. Compare that craven surrender to political correctness with Ronald Reagan as president calling the Soviet Union an "Evil Empire."
Ted Cruz knows all about the horrors of Marxism and understands as most of us could not why ending Marxism in Grenada was noble. Cruz's father, who had been tortured by Fidel Castro's predecessor, Batista, and who supported Castro's revolution, left Cuba before Castro came to power, thoroughly disillusioned with that dissembling Marxist thug.
Cruz also is a fabulous communicator and articulator of conservative principles. Professor Alan Dershowitz, not noted for his historic sympathy for conservatism, said of his days at Harvard Law School, "Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant."

“Is Cruz Our Best Hope?”
Yes.
If he runs the Democrats and the Media will suddenly rediscover the “natural born” clause, virtually overnight.
He’s one of the few who stands up to the democrats and the liberals and doesn’t give a damn about them or their calculated rules and machinations. In reality, he knows their game and doesn’t play along and surprise, surprise, is drawing blood...in six months...while other senators have been there for over twenty years, going along and getting along.
And what really gets them...Cruz will probably be re-elected by acclimaation, while the moderates can only squeak by, if that.
And let’s not forget the titanic battle by the REPUBLICAN PARTY (both RNC and NRSC) to keep this man out of the Senate!
Concur. I’m on Cruz control. As you noted, it’s early, but he could be the next Reagan.
Cruz is one of the good guys.
It is far too early to decide whether he is the best of them, but he certainly deserves ongoing consideration.
“If he runs the Democrats and the Media will suddenly rediscover the natural born clause, virtually overnight.”
You can bet your bippy on that happening.
Response: While admitting he makes all the right noises, if he is our best hope God Help us.
Just to see.
What’s your beef with Cruz?
>>While admitting he makes all the right noises, if he is our best hope God Help us. <<
Then God Help us because Cruz is the current best and brightest hope for conservatism.
Or are you one of them Paul-bots? If not, who do YOU endorse (I’ll spot you Sarah and we can go from there)?
rubio was blown out of the water with yesterdays revelation of his chief of staff having worked for geo. soros.
Should Ted Cruz manage to reach center stage in the next election cycle, expect that he will be unmercifully hammered in the press and by the Democrats for not being an “authentic” representation of Hispanic ethnicity.
But they fail to grasp that genetics or culture DOES NOT necessarily determine one’s outlook on the relationship of social, economic and moral standards to good conduct as a citizen of the United States of America.
For multi-ethnicity to be a virtue, it must embrace the core set of standards of individual liberty, the right to fail, and the will to seek redemption. If only skin color and origin of ancestry are to be the criteria for “multiple” constituencies, with a very narrow definition of the allowable opinions, and a quota for each representation is strictly enforced, then soon the other attributes disappear, replaced by a weird standard of political correctness, designed to keep dissidents isolated and the exercise of free speech hobbled with some kind of malicious consistency.
Dittos! The sooner we all coalesce around him the better too.
The rinos and GOPe will again try to split the conservative base by throwing too many conservative candidates into the primary mix again.
We need to be ready to do an end run around that strategy this time by all voting for the same person...hopefully Cruz IMHO.
There are a number of reasons, but one of the the main factors being: I”M TIRED OF NICE WORDS! To me that is Palin’s flaw; e.g. words for money.
We already have a great candidate for the next Governor of Texas...Greg Abbot.
Cruz is ready to be president right now IMHO.
Perhaps he is.
Because, if he stays in the Senate too long, he will eventually be stricken with Potomac Fever.

I can recall when Coburn of Oklahoma was lauded as being one of the ‘stand up’ guys. Now, however, Coburn has been in Washington so long that on any issue he is a toss up. You never know which direction he will go. And he isn’t the only one who has succumbed to the Washington plague.
Sarah was are best hope once...the GOP did her in...I expect the same with Cruz..
Only hope is a take over of the GOP by the tea Party.. Reagan was are best hope once.. we got lucky and then George Bush flushed it away..GOP is a waste of money and time..after eight years of unemployment the 24 to 34 year old might revolt???
