(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama, speaking in Mexico City on Friday, said the United States is responsible for much of the crime and violence in Mexico because of the demand for drugs and the illegal smuggling of guns across the southern border.
He told the crowd, “We understand that the root cause of violence that’s been happening here in Mexico for which so many Mexicans have suffered is the demand for illegal drugs in the United States.” He later added, “We also recognize that most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States.”
Obama acknowledged the illegal smuggling of guns into Mexico by American criminals, but did not mention the Justice Department’s Operation Fast and Furious that allowed the flow of about 2,000 U.S. guns to Mexican drug trafficking organizations. Fast and Furious began in the fall of 2009 and was halted in December 2010 after two of the weapons from the DOJ gun walking program were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
“In the United States, we understand our responsibilities. We understand that the root cause of violence that’s been happening here in Mexico for which so many Mexicans have suffered is the demand for illegal drugs in the United States,” Obama said. “So we’ve got to continue to make progress on that front.”
Obama opposes legalizing drugs, but wants to approach the matter beyond just law enforcement.
“I’ve been asked, and I honestly do not believe that legalizing drugs is the answer,” the president said. “But I do believe that a comprehensive approach, not just law enforcement, but education and prevention and treatment, that’s what we have to do. We’re going to have to stay at it, because of the lives of our children and the futures of our nations depend on it.”
He went on to talk about America’s role in fueling gun violence in Mexico and pledged to the Mexican people to push harder for gun control in his own country, referencing the Second Amendment.
“We also recognize that most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States,” Obama said. “I think many of you know that in America, the Constitution guarantees our individual right to bear arms. As president, I swore an oath to uphold that right, and I always will.
“But at the same time, as I’ve said in the United States, I will continue to do everything in my power to pass common sense reforms to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and dangerous people that can save lives here in Mexico and back home in the United States. It’s the right thing to do,” he said.
“We’ll keep increasing the pressure on gun traffickers who bring illegal guns into Mexico. We’ll keep putting these criminals where they belong, behind bars,” the president added.
Last month, an Obama-backed gun control measure for stricter background checks failed to pass the democratically controlled Senate.
Response: He means those people who created and administered this country up to 2008 are responsible.
Comment: By allowing unfettered admission into our country by his fellow Third World peoples he is consolidating the conquest of America by those that he and his handlers lead. In secret protocols he has agreed to adjust the borders at a later date giving to Mexico parts of Arizona, New Mexico and California up to San Francisco. With unparalleled magnanimity he negotiated retention of Northern California Nevada and Utah by the reorganized United States.
Been looking for this quote since I heard it once reported on a MSM (main-lineing socialist medium) radio newscast I monitor then buried.
Actually in that speech Obama gave I believe he goes even futhur. I think there’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements we made with Mexico where Obama seems to side with the Mexican claims.
As a counter to the amnesty push I’ve been arguing for reciprocal treatment. Pointing out that the Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.
Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys
are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory.
We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national(standard) flag gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions,accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.
Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico.
By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.

I caught Publix selling Mexican beef a few years ago and complained. The CEO of Publix called me the same day I made the complaint and promised thorough investigation.
Publix no longer sells beef from foreign sources; however, watch the fish they, as well as other food store chains, sell. Always avoid tilapia as it typically comes from places like the Mekong Delta where the fish are raised in cages in the same river water that the natives shit in from their stilted houses.
Since our fishing industry has been effectively killed by an evil central socialist government we have to get fish from Canada and our 57th state, Alaska. Otherwise we’re eating something that swims in fecal matter.

The very fact that he used the so-called “iron river” argument in his disgraceful Mexican speech shows that he was on of the instigators of Fast & Furious and is still trying to benefit from the mayhem it caused. Since its only purpose was to destroy the Second Amendment by causing murderous mayhem, Obama, Holder, et al, are accessories before the fact to mass murder and, thus, are mass murderers.
He is a hateful, loathsome, disgusting creature who says and does these things to infuriate and demoralize us.
The way to fight his evil intent is to work on not being infuriated or demoralized.
