JAMES CARVILLE: I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician Ive seen in the last 30 years. I further think that hes going to run for president and he is going to create something. Im not sitting here saying hes going to win, and I think Senator DeMint is right. Ive listened to excerpts of his speech in South Carolina. He touches every button, and this guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. And he is going to be something to watch.
And a lot of Republicans feel this way, George, and you hear this a lot: "If we only got someone who was articulate and was for what we were for, we would win elections. And we get these John McCains and these Mitt Romneys and these squishy guys that cant do anything." Well, theres one thing this guy is not - he aint squishy, not in the least.
CARVILLE: Ted Cruz is going to eat their lunch. That guy, Im telling you, he will out debate. I am just saying, he is a talent. Im not rooting. Im really sincere here. We watch him, he does things, I mean when he started talking about William Travis in South Carolina and the Alamo, this is a guy, and you go, "This guy is something." Now I dont agree with him. I think hes out there. But Im telling you, hes more talented than all of these other guys.

Including Obama, seven presidents have had at least one foreign-born parent.
Wrong.
Like your pix in Post 34.
Is it for real?
I know that’s how Cruz would feel though.
skeletons would have been found in his senate run this last election
Cruz ran against the dirtiest GOPer Texas has seen, Dewhurst, in a long time and they were not able to come up with anything, period.
our Framers never really defined natural-born citizen, plus, let’s not forget McCain was also not born on U.S.A. soil.
That bit of fiction smells like you pulled it from .......
” to be eligible to be POTUS both parents have to be born in the US..”
Where is that in the Constitution? I have the Constitution right here, and I don’t see it.
Cruz got a sizable majority in the General Election, which required many of the dems, Mexican and otherwise.
You need to stick with things you actually know about.
Thanks for that point.
This NBC thingy seems to have more misinformation than who was getting any back in High School.
Carville is just giving him the poison hug... hoping to diminish him.
The next two will be even more asian, than the current fool. Right?
McLame was born to a military officer father stationed in panama.
This is NOT a fact but an accusation that was never proven and the border was almost non existent at that time.
“Wrong”
Ok, I’m willing to learn. So, what are the facts?
“I know it wasnt a primary. Im saying that the TexMex didnt vote for him.”
I know that...it was the implication that he can’t win Texas. We both know he won due to white conservatives. But I’m not sure that will have to be the case (totally) at the presidential level. He may pick up something from those guys - certainly not enough for California, but maybe enough to make NM, AZ, and CO (otherwise tight states, easy victories).
We’ll see.
Well just go look in your mirror!
The LSM will take their blindfolds off on the NBC issue for a Republican (imho).
I'm aware of that. Dewhurst ads were about Cruz defending certain people in trial cases. He dumped on Cruz and never said why someone should vote for him. It was, “don't vote for him” but gave no reason to “vote for me”. Dewhurst is a multimillionaire so he had plenty of money to search for something personal about Cruz and didn't come up with anything.
Cruz is eligible to be President. If he isn't nominated, it won't be because of that. If he runs though, I think he could be a very strong candidate.
