LEXINGTON, S.C. (CN) - A South Carolina city discriminated against a transgender public safety employee by making him use a woman's bulletproof vest after he had gender reassignment surgery, he claims in court. Marion Gregory Green fka Maria Gisell Green sued the City of Cayce in Lexington County Court. Cayce, pop. 13,000, is the seat of Lexington County. It is the only defendant in the complaint. Green went to work as for the city as a public safety officer trainee in July 2006. During the next five years, while "presenting" as a woman, Green worked in law enforcement, fire suppression, victim's assistance and animal control, he says in the complaint. In February 2011, he says, he informed his supervisors, including Sgt. David Hoffman, and his fellow officers of his decision to have gender reassignment surgery and to live as a man.

Ya can’t change genders. The most you can do is have yourself disfigured.
This is a case where an individual believes he is more important than the team.
SWAT is a team, they are a paramilitary extension of the police department, and as such generally place themselves in harms way to a greater extent than the average policeman. This individual has opted to pursue some personal and highly intimate matters (gender identity issues) and has decided that it is up the team to adapt to his problems, rather than for him to “man-up”.
Vests are issued on a budget, they are not issued on a whim. When a team member joins, a budget is issued for a time duration for equipment, just like in the military. If the individual opts to VOLUNTARILY change his physique such that he no longer fits his equipment for the time duration in which it is issued, it should be incumbent upon the individual to purchase new equipment at his own expense.
This seems to be a frivolous lawsuit by a person with some serious mental disorders, that no amount of flexibility on behalf of the SWAT team will be able to correct.
Is there any way we can sue these perverts for making me sick?

If you ever sue these freaks and fudgepackers, I’ll join in the lawsuit.
Has she successfully had one X chromosome in every cell of her body exchanged for a Y chromosome? Has she undergone successful treatment to reprogram her female programmed epigenetic profile to a male programmed epigenetic profile? Have her gonads been successfully reprogrammed into male gonads which produce sperm?
If none of these events have taken place, then she is still a female. No matter what kinds of plastic surgery she has to change her appearance, or what kinds of steroids she takes to masculinize her features, she’s still a female.
Sorry, lady. I don’t care how unhappy you are that you were born female. The technology does not exist to make you male.
Why aren’t people like this given the psychiatric care they need in order to accept themselves as they are?

Seriously, they keep screaming about their rights, well what about my right to not feel nauseous? It’s not like people can avoid it, the media shoves it in our faces every day. When I use to live in New York city, they would have the gay day parade. No warning, nothing, it would just be there all of a sudden on my street and I would get physically ill seeing this sh*t.
This is supposed to be a free country, that does not mean a mentally sick individual gets to dictate what everybody else does. Nor use the courts to enforce their wills on others like some third world dictator.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of knowing a number of members of various police "elite" units including SWAT, Bomb Squad, Underwater recovery, etc.... Each and everyone of them has stated that if they ever feel that their physical/mental condition ever causes them to slow up a step or put the other members of the team at risk they will never need a Doctor to tell them they will step down voluntarily. Each of them realizes that the teams ability to function is predicated on each member being able to meet certain standards and perform above a minimum level.
Anyone that does not understand this is a selfish B@$T@RD and a glory hound.

There are certain things in life that take practical precedence over fashion. (I’m giving a lot of latitude by calling that stuff a fashion. Real fashion is the choice between jeans and a leisure suit, oxfords or saddle shoes and in the case of Willy Jeff, boxers or briefs.)
But, like four inch long fingernails, there are some tings that have sanitary implications beyond their repulsive appearance.
