BOSTON (AP) Every time the widow of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev leaves her parents' house, federal agents watching the residence follow her in unmarked vehicles.
Federal authorities are placing intense pressure on what they know to be the inner circle of the two bombing suspects, arresting three college buddies of surviving brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and keeping Tamerlan's 24-year-old widow, Katherine Russell, in the public eye with their open surveillance and leaks to media about investigators' focus on her.
Legal experts say it's part of their quest not just to determine whether Russell and the friends are culpable but also to push for as much information as possible regarding whether the bombing suspects had ties to a terrorism network or accomplices working domestically or abroad. A primary goal is to push the widow and friends to give their full cooperation, according to the experts.

Gee, it took “experts” to figure that out?
I don’t how she walks away without any court action and two or three years in prison. She had to know what they were up to, and she had to recognize the picture on TV when he appeared. I’m sorry she’s such a dimwit on this stuff and that naive...but if you marry into radical Islam....you’d best be prepared for a short life, or a prison period somewhere in the mess.
I agree. She had to know. There is no way she didn’t.
Living in a small apartment. Listening & talking with her husband & brother in law. Hell yes, she knew what was going on.
Agree, it does not seem plausible for her to be completely unaware. Perhaps she was bullied into staying quiet or maybe she thought her husband was too smart to get caught. It’s all fun and games until something goes wrong.
I want to know why she still has access to her child.
If a child has been exposed to bomb making etc., whether she thought they were making bombs or working on her husband’s school science project- why hasn’t her child been taken away?
What’s to stop her from blowing up both of them?
Children have been whisked away by the state for all kinds of crazy potential reasons-in this case, it seems pretty clear the child was around BOMBS and is part of a terrorist family unit...
Arrest her, threaten her with prison and permanent removal of her child. She will talk.
Or she will strap a bomb on the kid.
She called him to warn him....Why isn’t she in jail?? I’d say daddy has some pull.
Thanks for posting this.
It takes a while to rehearse her in what they want her to say.
Boston Bombing Ping!
Does she speak russian or chechnyan (if there is such a language)? Perhaps the brothers spoke russian and she did not understand.
When do they stop calling Tamerlan Tsarnaev ‘suspected’ Boston Marathon bomber? He’s dead, can’t go to court.
What I don’t get is the fed focus on him having either domestic OR foreign assistance. Why can’t it be both? Seems like they are limiting themselves and the investigation that way. He likely had foreign help and inspiration and domestic Islamist sympathizers and financing.
I know the political reasons for wanting to find that he was ‘self radicalized’ but for national security, they had better start realizing that no one is self radicalized in Islam. They are taught!
Just spouting off..so frustrating to watch the wheels coming off some of our greatest agencies under this incompetent Marxist president.
IMHO the good guys are on this and hopefully it will shed enough light on the jihadi loving administration - along with what’s happening with Benghazi - to lead to serious legal consequences for the perps. And I don’t mean just the individuals involved in the bombings - I mean those covering up and aiding and abetting from a distance.
Thanks for the ping Ernest.
