About a year ago, Miller was convinced that the Internet was making him unproductive, and even corrupting his soul. So at 11:59 p.m. on April 30, 2012, Miller unplugged his Ethernet cable, turned off his Wi-Fi, and replaced his smartphone with a "dumb phone."

I went one summer with no computer in my house (and I don’t have a smart phone.) I’d walk to the library about twice a week and check my email, assure my mom via Facebook that I’m still alive, and that was about it. I did get an AWFUL LOT DONE. But it’s like dieting... even though I’m better off without it, I drifted back because it’s an easy, cheap, and pleasant time-waster.
I’ve heard of this Internet thing but I don’t think I’d like it very much. It’s sort of like tubes, isn’t it?

PS: you didn’t have a video of your nose in the air when you said it and a bunch of media and elites fawning over how smart you are so you were at a disadvantage.
