A Quinnipiac University poll taken this week said in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings 23 percent of voters changed their opinion on whether to allow a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
And that was before two Kazakh nationals, both in the country illegally, were arrested Wednesday for trying to destroy evidence at the behest of the surviving bombing suspect.
While the poll found a majority still supports the idea of allowing illegal immigrants to stay and eventually become citizens, support dropped to 52 percent, the lowest level recorded so far. The allegation that illegal immigrants were involved in the attack will not help that number.
When Americans think about illegal immigration, they mostly think about émigrés from Latin America, particularly Mexico. President Obama today will visit Mexico City as part of his push to legalize the millions of Hispanic illegal immigrants already in this country, no doubt discussing the strong ties with our North American neighbor and the economic and cultural contributions of Mexican immigrants.
And most Americans will agree.....

The bombers were on welfare, food stamps and (also now confirmed) Section 8 Housing.
Let’s open those borders to third world laborers and terrorists.

It's too bad that thousands of people killed or maimed by criminal aliens and drunken illegal alien drivers didn't have the effect of those killed and maimed in the Boston marathon bombings.
I think I read that the $100,000 estimate was just from the state of MA, not any federal benefits.
After 9/11 I saw the silver lining that we would finally get control of our border.
It appears that the welfare and safety of the American people isn’t worth serious border control.
The title should read:
“Boston Bombing May Doom Immigration Bill...” but not before we blame Republicans.
Except for the fact that more republicans voted for the so called “Civil rights acts” than did democrats. I don’t see the parallel. If we championed opened borders and amnisity the Illegal immigrants democrats would still claim credit.
They would still tell theses minorities that we will persecute them if we win(never happens) and that if they win they will get an endless supply of free goodies(never works out).
Americans are more against the Amnesty bill than this liberal poll says and that is most Americans
If the Rubio-Obama Amnesty bill is not dropped NOW.....anyone supporting the bill...supporting Rubio or any of the Gang of 8.....is aiding and abetting Islamic Terrorism (and of course, illegal aliens)
