FARGO Two of three men who confronted a group of juveniles they suspected of terrorizing a south Fargo neighborhood Saturday night have been charged with a crime.
The case puts a spotlight on the risk residents take when they intervene in what they believe is illegal behavior, police said.
And because the confrontation between three men and three 15-year-old boys involved firearms, the incident has parents wondering how close their children came to being shot.

They really should have brought different weapons when confronting the kids. A cattle prod would be more to the point, and maybe a thick leather belt. If one had a gun, it should be concealed carry, and not brandished unless absolutely necessary.
Be sure to videotape the brats trespassing before calling the police. It really helps shut up obnoxious parents.
From what I researched, a permit holder cannot drive after dark, and must have a licensed driver at least 18 years of age with at least three years of driving experience in the car when driving during the day.
My wife has family in Minot N.D., as well as in other parts of the state. Crime and juvenile delinquency is becoming a big problem there.
Thanks SoldierDad, I thought there was likely to be student driver laws such as that. So the driver was in violation of the driving laws as well as the fairly obvious mischief. There are some dumb ass parents there who need to get a clue instead of letting their kids run wild.
Yes, there are. And, not just in Fargo. Minot has lots of problems with juveniles as well. Including my sister-in-law’s children. My wife (who is from Minot) and I left there in 1983, and have not regretted the move. Though, due to the political climate here in CA, I’m looking at the possibility of a move to a conservative state.
There is much to be said about the shingle nail technique, especially if there is a moving target. However, the hard part is policing up the extras after the fact, to avoid collateral damage.
Perhaps you would be correct if this was the fist time. Or even the second or third.
I read the article. These teens had been harrassing the neighborhood for months. A cattle prod would not have stopped them.
I think these guys need to get a jury trial.

I agree. That is - if you mean “these guys” you mean the punk teenagers. The men who were arrested? They need an apology and all charges dropped.
