My hubby is a commercial pilot. He has always said that someday some crazy person is going to figure out how much damage can be done by going off in a terminal. Forget the plane-think of all the people in a terminal on the non secure side of our beloved TSA critters.
One another note, it is interesting to study history-the history of propaganda and “false stories” that Hitler and nazi germany put out to discredit the jews. It is strangely familiar.....
About 1:35 p.m. today, a report of shots fired at Bush Intercontinental Airport was received by HPD at Terminal B. A lone armed male has suffered at least one gunshot wound and has been transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. There are no other reports of injuries nor other persons involved. Further information will be posted as it is confirmed.

One person has been shot dead at Terminal B of Bush Intercontinental Airport, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Houston Police Department spokeswoman Jodi Silva said that an armed male suffered at least one gunshot wound at 1:35 p.m. Thursday near a ticket counter in the pre-screening area of Terminal B.
The man walked in with an AR-15 and fired it into the air, according to KHOU. An air marshal confronted the gunman, who shot himself in the head, the station reports.

Lots of possibilities here-—the old Bushmaster pistol looks “AR” but would fit in a briefcase. Just taking a wild guess but, it’s Texas, he could have been carrying a guitar case with a couple Willie Nelson stickers and almost anything inside. The 24” rule doesn’t mean much to this guy since he obviously wasn’t planning on boarding anything but a gurney. As with every other casualty news story you’ve ever heard——the first version is halfassed and never quite right, ESPECIALLY where weapons are a factor.
