Local to me tho I'm not affected. Even if it was next door, so long as the order doesn't say "do not drink BEER" I am good.

The dirty little secret is these settings mean little or nothing. The chemical soup municipalities offer as drinking water is toxic. In our city they advise it not be given to pets and, of course, we all know it is toxic to fish. Chlorine and ammonia are toxic substances, in any concentration.

I’ve fished Carter’s Lake...didn’t catch a dang thing...like most of my fishing trips.

Ping to “Don’t drink the water” thread. People buying up all the bottled water - guess they didn’t have any stored.
Someone messed with the water plant.

Mom calls it ‘visiting’ the fish.
Which is odd, I can get any fish to bite anything I send.

My sympathies. Was the ‘toxic’ drinking water not taken into account when you decided to live where you live?
No problems to report with my own city’s water, other than maybe the water bill. Taken out of a major western river, minimally treated (doesn’t require much treatment), and delivered. Been drinking for 59 years.

I've always got gallons and gallons of water here stored to help moderate the temperature in one corner of the house.
It is potable water.

There is a Great article in my Preparedness Manual on building your own Berkey Water Filter. Berkey’s are among the best you can buy. You can download the whole manual at:

We don’t know yet. It could be, tho the area is really rather rural and out of the way for that. Not the juiciest random target.
Disgruntled local seems like a possibility too.

Heck here in Tampa a squirrel chewed on a cable and water to 600,000 people was cut. Water supplies are not all that dependable.

Just curious. About how much is your water bill? Mine is about $50 per month - that’s water and sewer fee combined. Me, wife and two teenagers in the family.
Seems like our washing machine is on permanent run cycle.

Just contacted my oldest son who works for the Dalton police department. Try to find out what’s going on and post it. He lives in Chatsworth, just built a house there. They have a well so he will be fine.
