Obama Economy: An enterprising private group has determined that the president has spent more time on vacation and golf courses than on trying to turn the economy around. And we're surprised by 2.5% growth?
The Government Accountability Institute, which has mined the records of the White House calendar, says President Obama "has spent a total of 474.4 hours (or 47.4 10-hour workdays) in economic meetings or briefings of any kind throughout his presidency" while he "has played 115 total rounds of golf and spent 86 days on vacation, for an estimated combined total of 976 hours."
Don't forget that this is the president who has refocused his attention on, or pivoted toward, jobs and the economy on multiple occasions. At one point, he even promised to bring a laserlike focus to the issue.
Obama began his presidency in 2009 by declaring, "My economic agenda ... begins with jobs."
Something must have happened because later that year, USA Today wrote about Obama's "renewed focus on job creation."
Soon he was promising that creating jobs would be his "No. 1 focus" for 2010.
A few months after that, Obama swore that "our No. 1 focus has to be jobs, jobs, jobs."
Apparently he had to attend to some other issues as he had to come back in December 2010 to tell everyone that his "singular focus over the next two years is ... jump-starting the economy so that we actually start making a dent in the unemployment rate."
By January 2011, it was more of the same: "My principal focus, my No. 1 focus, is going be making sure that we are ... creating jobs not just now, but well into the future."

thank HEAVEN he isn’t paying any more attention to the economy than is, he’s done enough damage already to last a lifetime
bur but but but he’s so smart and so focused when he is working he doesn’t need a lot of time. and he deserves all the golf and vacation becuase he works so hard for the little people.
