The immigration bill introduced to the Senate a week and a half ago would, if passed, allow illegal immigrants to access state and local welfare benefits immediately, Breitbart News has learned. The financial impact of allowing potentially millions of immigrants onto state and local public assistance could overwhelm these programs' budgets.
The Gang of Eight made a promise that illegal immigrants will not be able to access public benefits, Sessions said in a statement to Breitbart News. We already know that, once granted green cards and ultimately citizenship, illegal immigrants will be able to access all public benefit programs at a great cost to taxpayers. We have, however, identified a number of loopholes that would allow illegal immigrants to draw public benefits even sooner than advertised.
According to page 91 of the bill, all illegal immigrants granted legalized RPI status would legally be considered lawfully present. That section reads as follows: (4) TREATMENT OF REGISTERED PROVISIONAL IMMIGRANTS.A noncitizen granted registered provisional immigrant status under this section shall be considered lawfully present in the United States for all purposes while such noncitizen remains in such status, except that the noncitizen (A) is not entitled to the premium assistance tax credit authorized under section 36B of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986; (B) shall be subject to the rules applicable to individuals not lawfully present that are set forth in subsection (e) of such section; and (C) shall be subject to the rules applicable to individuals not lawfully present that are set forth in section 1402(e) of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. 18071).

GOP Senators. Do you understand the meaning of ‘Hell No’?!
Marco and Juan and Linseed obviously can’t read. Or was this law written in Spanish?
Regardless of what it says, I thought the Supreme Court ruled before that no one in the US cannot be denied a benefit as long as their status was legal.
Our forefathers would be shooting by now.
No, not Spanish. It was written in Gobble-T-Gook.
They don't care! Marco & Juan just want to pass amnesty irregardless!!! Consequences be damned!!!
This gets my blood boiling.
We need to have a law mandating an affidavit be attached to each and every law between Congress, the Senate, and up to the President’s desk that states that the law was drafted by a law maker and ONLY by a law maker, was read completely and understood by the law maker submitting the bill, is Constitutional by provisions outlined therein, and applies to every American, including the law makers themselves.
This BS with outside entities and legal groups drafting laws, handing them to Representatives and Senators to bring up on the floor without knowing whats in them is complete tyranny. We did not elect these shadow law groups, we elected our Representatives and Senators. This is complete and total failure of the American system of Republicanism.
Austrian or Ebonics.
Can someone explain to me how the “Gang of Ocho” is not guilty of treason? Seriously.
Doing what anchor babies do now, start the welfare bennies train in motion.
Like illegals don’t sign up now.
Go to this website and oppose all immigration “reform” bills. They are all DemonRAT voter roll enhancement bills.

If you don’t have an account, create one. Pleas register and let your congressional delegation know your thoughts.
Here are some of mine ...
Secure the borders FIRST!
Just a standalone bill authorizing the states to use their National Guard to patrol their own borders, with provisions to keep the FedGov (i.e. Eric Holder and his transnationalists) on a short leash when States assert their sovereignty in border regions.
NEXT: A bill that guarantees that only CITIZENS can vote. Birth Certificate, Naturalization Papers, or US Passport ONLY, plus proof of residency in the precinct.
Do those FIRST, then we can talk immigration.
No more anchor babies.
One baby born here, and the whole extended family moves in.
No thanks.
We’re not as stupid as you think we are.
And, by the way, my parents were immigrants, and we have adopted foreign-born children. All of us came through the FRONT DOOR, paying all fees and submitting all required documentation, and WAITING for the slow wheels of the bureaucracy to turn.
What happened to the days when immigrants had to prove they had a job waiting and were useful to society?
Well, that what’s they want, after all - think they came here for the “freedom” and “democracy” and all the “potential” to pursue their “destinies”?
No, they came here for all the free stuff, courtesy of the American taxpayer.
Everyone concerned would no doubt be better off if they just stayed home and our government sent them a check every month.
I told you Rubio was FOS claiming those who apply get nothing from the taxpayers for 10 years. I can smell a BS sales pitch amile away. You know Schumer and Durbin would never sign on to what Rubio was claiming.
Not only will they get anti-poverty benefits from the states but they are not required to support their children (to comply and get amnesty ) and so they will also get Federal benefits through them(their kids in US) , like food stamps.
This shows how much we can trust Rubio.
If Rubio was being honest this bill would forbit any government benefits Federal or local, and forbid them from getting SS disability, and they must support all their dependents wo gov help, AND they would be required to meet all the Obama-care mandates, as would their employers, without the subsidies. And if they dont comply then deport
If the Gang of 8 spent as much time and effort figuring out how to secure the border and get rid of the 11 million locusts that are plagueing this country they would be gone already.
I knew this without even reading the bill. Congress can’t even ban these illegals from accessing state and local benefits now.
