George W. Bush: Great President, even finer man

Eric Golub

BURLINGTON, Vt., April 29, 2013 — The George W. Bush Presidential Library is now living history. The Southern Methodist University campus will house some of the most important documents spanning one of the most consequential periods in American history.

Mr. Bush, affably known by nicknames “43,” “Dubya,” and “The Dub,” entered office after a disputed election. His first few months saw him ram through supply-side tax cuts that turned around a slowing economy he “inherited” from his predecessor. Despite a NASDAQ collapse of over 90 percent, Bush did not spend one minute complaining about his circumstances or blaming anybody else. He rolled up his sleeves and went to work. His promise upon taking office was to “restore honor and dignity to the White House.” After eight years of endless scandals during the prior administration, he did exactly that.

On September 11, 2001, radical Islamists from al Qaeda hijacked American airplanes and flew them into the two World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. A fourth plane destined for the White House was diverted when brave passengers took the plane back. United 93 would crash in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. New York was ground zero of a war America never asked or. Yet after almost four decades of presidents unwilling or unable to take the fight overseas, President George W. Bush launched a Global War on Terror.

He left office with toxic poll numbers, but has seen a revival as Americans come to appreciate and respect the hard choices he made during the toughest of times.

The left always hated him, felt he stole the 2000 election, and never gave him the decency and respect that an American leader deserves. Yet an honest look...

"No, you regurgitated your tired memes regarding Bush. You did NOT answer my question."

I answered your question. You were too busy dishing out insults to search for what I told you to search for. Here's your detailed answer. If you're too lazy to read it, don't blame me.

Congress is Responsible For the Eligibility Fiasco

“Yeah. John McCain had nothing to do with it /s”

No, McLame merely insured that the mess Bush left wasn’t adequately explained.
I guess we are only entitled to one good president in our individual lifetimes.

From FDR to today, I consider Ronald Reagan the only man who was honest, and had the best interests of the bulk of the country in what he tried to accomplish.
NO MORE BUSHES and NO MORE CLINTONS!!

Pretty easily.

If it's so easy, how come Obama is still President, after FIVE YEARS and MILLIONS having knowledge of the fact he is a fraud?

The evidence of fraud concerning the Obama storyline is quite abundant.

Yes it is. So why is he still President ? I mean, everyone knows now.

The mainstream propaganda media would have been forced to cover this story if Bush had made it an issue of national security.

You mean like the coverage they have been giving to the Gosnell Abortion Clinic (and similar PP clinics) for the PAST THIRTY YEARS ?

It would not have been swept aside as evidence was brought forth such as the cold case posse uncovered.

Right. Like the Fast and Furious program. Like the Benghazi incident. Like the Fort Hood terrorist. Heck, the cold posse group of Sheriff Arapaio has 'uncovered' the Obama fraud, and yet.... he's still President.

The fact is that the Twentieth Amendment, Section Three requires that the President Elect PROVE that he/she is eligible to serve or Congress must name a replacement.

Well, he did prove it. Pelosi had him sworn in with a document that 'removed' that particular requirement. They ignored the Constitution. Surely, by now, both Pelosi and Obama should be in prison. They aren't.

The eligibility issue would have been front and center before the election and there is no way Obama would have defeated Hillary Clinton much less get elected over John McCain.

Only if the MSM and most of the other 'elected/appointed' officials didn't continue to bury it.

If Mitt Romney had spilled the beans on Benghazi during the debates, would Obama be President ?

Same ‘linear’ thought process results in blaming Obama for everything that happens in OUR government.

All the things that are happening to this country are not possible for one person to accomplish. Obama is portrayed as some fiendish mastermind. He’s not really, and not even capable of it. But he is surrounded by people who (believe they ) are, and intend to remake the ‘world’ (our country) in their own ‘image’ (along their socialistic/communistic lines). He is merely their ‘poster boy’.

Are you saying that if Bush had exposed Obama during the 2008 campaign as a fraud the media would have ignored him? They would have been FORCED to cover the issue. They got away by NOT covering it and ignoring it ever since. Bush made their work easy by doing NOTHING.

Dubya returned dignity to the W.H., and he showed tremendous courage under constant (metaphorical) fire from the lefties in the media. (Few Republicans can come close to Dubya's inner strength.)

Dubya cared, and cares about our fine country, and I always knew that he had the best interests at heart for all those in uniform (including my two "kids").

At a time when there are so many weak and whiny people in our great land, Dubya is sets and example of strength and purpose and character.

but everyone knows a perfect politician. In their mind.

It's that 'in their mind' part that is the source of all our problems.

Most people define the perfect presidential candidate based mostly on looks. All people define it based on WHO and WHAT they themselves are and how they have justified where they are in their life. Since none of us are perfect and all of us are different, it does not seem logical that any one person could pick the 'perfect' Presidential Candidate (other than it just being a lucky guess).

Heck... I couldn't even get Freepers to list the 'qualities' a Pres. Candidate should have, or what the job requirements for President should be.

(not sure I could provide an all encompassing list either).

Fortunately, George Junior's wished-for massive illegal alien amnesty was thwarted by patriots in congress.

We won't be so lucky with his like-minded successor who has a more docile Congress.

No.

I'm saying that if he had, the media and the 'powers behind the throne' would have castrated him.

They would have been FORCED to cover the issue.

Bush made their work easy by doing NOTHING.

One cannot argue that statement.

I guess I should have worded, or finished my last sentence better. Re-reading it I can see that. It definitely did convey my thought correctly. My apologies. (My old, left over sort of a brain, isn’t working to well I guess!) Yes, I do agree with other posters saying Bush didn’t go after Barry, they have their reasons. I myself believe Bush didn’t ‘swing away’ at Barry for the very reasons I layed out at the start of the post. Very dangerous to go against the PTB and since Bush is/was part of their organization. Of course he is gonna go along. Now, Bush called islam: “A faith based upon peace, love and compassion”. Also, islam is: “Morality and learning and tolerance”. Also, islam is a:’Religion of peace”. Do you deny those quotes from Bush? The Globalist’s PTB honchos decided long ago islam will be promoted world wide. Bush, (And daddy Bush and Bill Clinton also followed their directives). He did all he could to lessen the anger towards ‘em help promote muslims as good folk. Barry hussein was to be the next President by their call and by Bush ‘standing down’, as he darned well knew to do, he sure aas heck well was. Do you agree with those quotes of Bush’s regarding islam?

Bush's administration while allowing in more Muslims AFTER 911 than the previous two decades, ...

Excellent point. Bush gave up a crucial opportunity to correct our suicidal immigration practices. Instead of stopping this importation of our enemy, he allowed it to massively increase.

Thank you for the response, even though you weren't the one the question was directed to.

I'd start by telling the Saudis: cease all religious funding outside of your country today, or there will be no tomorrow for you.

And then what would you do after they quit laughing?

As concerns the rest of your points, while I find them valid, they do nothing to COMPLETELY ERADICATE 'radical Islam', and involve what OTHERS might do, not YOU as President. For instance, Russia 'uniting' with us against the 'tribal warmongers' that Russia happily uses against as pawns against the U.S.

Heck, we can't even unite against the 'tribal warmongers' because we are using them as pawns too.

Thank you for your response.

. Do you deny those quotes from Bush?

Not at all.

Do you agree with those quotes of Bush’s regarding islam?

Are we talking about the religion of Islam, or the more modern militaristic, radical, terroristic, criminal enterprise the Muslim Brotherhood ?

On a similar note, are we talking about the contents of the original Quran/Koran, or the fatwa's of the government Mufti's ?

The media, liberals, democrats, communists, and many of the 'republicans' were all united after 911.... for about two weeks. Then things went back to normal. Even if President Bush had managed to get some legislation going, they would have eventually killed it.
