My sister used to forward me every chain hoax email. I would respond with the Snopes article that debunked it. Eventually, she took me off her email chain.
The whole Internet should work like that.

I did the same thing, only I went one better and sent the debunking to every single person on their distribution list.
They changed the recipient to “bcc “ and later stopped sending me the “glurge “

LOL, I did ask a Nigerian 419 scammer to swear fealty to me forever and I would let them live after I’d assumed my ascendancy as unquestioned dark lord of the word.
For family friends and relatives, the snopes stuff might work better.
[Though they know me well enough to expect the “I am the Dark Lord” announcement.]
My sister came up with alternate lyrics for that song.
Something about putting fleas in a flea museum and charging people to go in and meet ‘em.

My sister is evil, that stuck in my head for weeks.
You are my kind of evil.
She lives in Oregon, one of the biggest welfare states and so we started checking into her getting benefits. It's like pulling teeth. They nitpick everything. I guess it's because she's white and born here in 1940.
She only has her small SS and job “pension” and now will get dad's SS. Neither of them ever made much to pay much into the system. We called to get her off Medicare and onto Medicaid and, again, amazingly difficult.
And these jerks were just handed stuff. Where are the trillions in our welfare state going if NOT to folks like my mom? Not that we don't mind paying her measly bills ourselves but we have obligations too.
Don't answer, the question was rhetorical. It all goes to overhead and is skimmed off the top by the biggest criminal mafia America has ever seen - The DNC!
If my mom of 73 (today) wasn't still grieving over the loss of my dad last month I'd tell her I'd make the point the welfare state she supported (lifelong left wing Dem) is BS like I've told her for the last 35 years!!
Guess she's seeing it first hand but I doubt it makes a dent. Can't even get Oregon to move on the $250 EBT they say she might get a month.
