The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said Sunday he thinks the Boston Marathon bombing suspects were trained in carrying out the attack. Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul told “Fox News Sunday” he thinks suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev had help, considering the device’s level of sophistication and the type of device -- a shrapnel-packed, pressure-cooker bomb. “That leads me to believe there was a trainer,” the Texas Republican said. Homemade bombs built from pressure cookers have been a frequent weapon of militants in Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. Al Qaeda's branch in Yemen once published an online manual on how to make one. McCaul also said he thinks the suspects' mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, played "a very strong role" in her Muslim sons' radicalization process and that if she were to return to the United States from Russia, she'd be held for questioning. The suspects are ethnic Chechens who emigrated from southern Russia to the Boston area over the past 11 years. They purportedly dropped, then detonated two bombs near the finish line of the race, killing three and injuring more than 260 others. The 26-year-old Tamerlan was killed several days after the attack in a shootout with police. The 19-year-old Dzhokhar was captured in the manhunt and is now at a medical detention center. McCaul also was critical of the Obama administration, saying just days after the deadly April 15 bombings there was no foreign terrorist connection to the suspects. “They just got captured,” McCaul said. “Yet the narrative being played out by the administration is there is no connection. … It’s a rush to judgment.”

It appears that the bunch of balloons rise after the first explosion, followed by the second explosion 120 yards away. The balloons had elevated perhaps 100 feet in the air whent he second explosion happens. I’ve been unable to see if there were balloons down at the second explosion. Whomever was holding the balloons would have had a line of sight —it would appear— tot he first bomb and the balloons may have been the way the signal was radioed to the second bomb. If anyone has video links to the second explosion, from the dept store cammera perhaps, I would like to know if balloons rose up near the second explosion, indicatinf perhaps a third bomb was sup[posed to be detonated via balloon carried signal.
McCaul referred to a level of “sophistication”. Could call it complex I guess, considering the danger and risk involved in preparing the bomb. I think more on the mark is the fact that, “homemade bombs built from pressure cookers have been a frequent weapon of militants in Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. Al Qaeda’s branch in Yemen once published an online manual on how to make one”. Maybe the bombers got hold of the manual and followed the directions, but I doubt it because they didn’t blow themselves up. These guys were one notch up from being considered kids - 19 and 20-something, and definitely not electricians. I still say follow the money. Someone supplied the cash - for the trip to Russia, and for the bomb-parts.

Same wideload as thge balloon female in the bomb-day footage, but the hair is different. However, the female leaning against the building beside whom the balloon female stops DOES fit the scant imagery in the UK photos. I can’t tell exac tly how the balloon carrier has her hair fixed. It appears to be shorter than the white pants feamel from UK photos. BUT a wig could bundle that shock of hair up for a stroll down Boston streets. The sure bet is that several animals were involved int eh bombing, not just Mutt and Joker. I am becoming convinced that the balloons probably carried the radio control signal to the second bomb.
Balloon woman may be wider, heavier (and shorter legs?) than hand-cuffed woman. Look at balloon woman's haircut as she walks down the sidewalk. Odd, but unfortunately, so blurry.
Striped-shirt woman may fit the description. We need better photos. I thought FR posted some stills of balloon woman.

Yes, that is the photo of the woman taken into custody at the same time as the Kazaks. It was speculated on a thread the other day that she may be the same one with striped sleeves and a large blue bag who seemed to begin using a phone at exactly the moment that Djokhar passed her on the sidewalk. No way to tell from the photo and the surveillance video, but it does make one wonder about the phone lady’s actions.
I never did see a clear picture of the two Kazaks being taken into custody.
The pack of balloons seen clearest after bomb one has soemthing larger than string hanging from the balloons and the pack drifts sort of out over the street as it rises, then swings back towqard the buildings as it gets higher. Down the street, a second pack of balloons appears to rise between sites one and two.
Where did you get that? Do you have a link?
In the blurry video we have been watching til our eyes cross, you can see a pink blur in her hand with the balloons. It looks rectangular.
Police Say The Naked Man Arrested In Boston Was Not Tamerlan Tsarnaev
Both his nutty parents and his straight up Uncle say they are 100% certain this video is Tamerlan.
On Thursday night while police were hunting in Watertown, Mass. for bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, at one point they arrested a naked man who looks a lot like Tamerlan.
Police say the naked man is not Tamerlan, despite various conspiracy theories going around the Internet.
According to the official account, Tamerlan died after a shootout with cops, riddled with bullets and shrapnel before being run over by his brother who was fleeing the scene in an SUV.

The Watertown police department got back to us via email just to say that the naked man was not Tamerlan Tsarnaev (pictured on right and in high-res here).
The shootout with the Tsarnaev brothers occurred on Laurel Street. The journalist interviewed in this video describes naked man’s capture near Nichols and Dexter, literally down the street from the shootout.
Naked man was apparently stripped, questioned, clothed, questioned some more, and reportedly let go. It’s likely police stripped him because they were under citywide bomb threat and wanted to make sure he didn’t have a suicide vest, but the police did not comment on that.
