The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said Sunday he thinks the Boston Marathon bombing suspects were trained in carrying out the attack. Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul told “Fox News Sunday” he thinks suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev had help, considering the device’s level of sophistication and the type of device -- a shrapnel-packed, pressure-cooker bomb. “That leads me to believe there was a trainer,” the Texas Republican said. Homemade bombs built from pressure cookers have been a frequent weapon of militants in Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. Al Qaeda's branch in Yemen once published an online manual on how to make one. McCaul also said he thinks the suspects' mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, played "a very strong role" in her Muslim sons' radicalization process and that if she were to return to the United States from Russia, she'd be held for questioning. The suspects are ethnic Chechens who emigrated from southern Russia to the Boston area over the past 11 years. They purportedly dropped, then detonated two bombs near the finish line of the race, killing three and injuring more than 260 others. The 26-year-old Tamerlan was killed several days after the attack in a shootout with police. The 19-year-old Dzhokhar was captured in the manhunt and is now at a medical detention center. McCaul also was critical of the Obama administration, saying just days after the deadly April 15 bombings there was no foreign terrorist connection to the suspects. “They just got captured,” McCaul said. “Yet the narrative being played out by the administration is there is no connection. … It’s a rush to judgment.”

Duh - the older brother went to Russia for six months last year (and not for a Carnival Cruise on the Black Sea) and then returned to the US in July. It has been noted by his aunt that he was clearly devoted to radical Islam.

And what of the detonator, the one who remote detonated the bombs. Has anyone zeroed in on the woman carrying the five or six yellow helium balloons who led the brothers ontop the sidewalk then stepped aside to let them pass ... yellow balloons can be seen rising from behind and back tot he left of one of the bomb sites. Did the detonator just float away with the yellow balloons? And, BTW, the yellow balloon woman steps to the building against which another female with a bulging backpack is leaning.

Doesn't take too long for all the missing 15,000 "students" to be fully up to speed and exploding all over.
They may have had some kind of training, but I don’t think the “complexity” of the bombs is any evidence of that. A Freeper who claimed to be an electrical engineer posted on a thread in the days after the bombing and said he thought these were very simple devices — and were extremely dangerous even to the bombers themselves because the remote-control car activation method had very high risks for random detonation.

this “what a difference does it make” is getting to be old. truly if you have nothing to add but to protect the democrats go back to democrat underground and spew your nonsense there.
How is it they always seem to come up with some obscure person of interest that somehow eludes all the authorities?

The wheels of justice turn slowly, I get that part, but how many monkey wrenches are we up to that keep getting tossed in?!

you see at the 17 sec. point Djokher passes in front of a chunky looking woman leaning against the wall with a large blue bag and wearing a stripped sweater/shirt. At the 18 and 19 sec. point she seems to begin making a cell phone call. Not for a moment did she turn her head toward either bomber, but she surely saw them.
It could be an innocent coincidence, or maybe not . . . .
I hope the police have tried to identify her and check out what she was doing there.

It would be rather foolish for someone to wear distinctive clothing and stand right in front of a surveillance camera to do something related to a bombing, but foolish or not maybe someone did not realize they needed to be more careful.

Are you saying balloon lady released the balloons BEFORE the bomb went off?
Have you seen the Kazaks photo Cap Huff discusses?
Look at the video and watch the timing that striped-shirt lady uses cell phone.
