HBO host Bill Maher debates guest Brian Levy, the director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino, about the Boston Marathon Bombers' Muslim faith playing a role in their terrorism
"It's not like people who are Muslim who do wacky things have a monopoly on it," Levy claimed. "We have hypocrites across faiths, Jewish, Christian who say they're out for God and end up doing not so nice things."
Maher, true to form, called his guest out and said his premise was "liberal [BS]."...

I must not be liberal enough, I have a hard time equating getting cut off in traffic with mass murders of strangers.
Maher is at the end of his game too. Like George Carlin, he will disappear.
There have been hundreds of Christian terrorists, especially the IRA a few decades ago, but the vast majority of Christians have consistently and unambiguously condemned their actions. There have been tens of thousands of Islamic terrorists, and open condemnation of their actions is phenomenally rare, while celebratory dancing in the streets is common. Anyone who pretends not to see the difference is either too dishonest or too stupid to be trusted in any situation.
So what’s gotten into Maher lately? Did he have some friends or family members killed or maimed in Boston?

There is also a simple comparison of the lives and acts of the actual living men at the head of the respective religions, Jesus vs mohammad. Jesus never killed anyone. He naver raped anyone...

IRA may have been Catholics but their terrorism had nothing to do with their religion.
The IRA did not say we are killing in the name of God. The Muslim terrorist say “There is only one god Allah” as they kill.

Look, there are good and bad people anywhere. There were even a few good Nazis (like the guy who was a German agent in China, and wrote reports back to Germany about the horror of the Japanese barbarism, naively expecting Hitler to intervene for humanity).
I have known wonderful people who were Muslims, and also some absolutely nutty ones.
But here is what counts. Make yourself a little chart. It could be a spreadsheet. Label the rows with names of religion-founders, and then have three columns: one for “Told his followers to kill”, “Supervised murder himself”, and ““Spoke against killing.”
Then just check in the boxes (cells). Lao-tse, Confucius, Socrates, Buddha, Moses, Noah, Jesus, Mohammed, Lenin (and others of your choice).
What you find, is that almost alone among religious leaders is Mohammed. He supervised mass-killing, and openly encouraged murder and slavery. His best company would be Lenin, who might not have personally killed enemies, but ordered mass killing which mounted into the millions.
Yes, there is a difference. Islam is a false religion, by its fruit, and by its founder’s behavior.
It would be constitutional to ban Islam from the United States, as it was clearly not intended to be covered by the Bill of Rights, there having been no Muslims in North America at the time. We surely could stop importing more Muslims. We could deport the ones who are here.
But supporting killer-Muslims in luxury (in the expensive part of Boston), paying their tuition at exclusive schools, feeding them, giving enough spending money for flights to and from their homeland, all with public funds, is a disgrace and is stupidity. I forgot: also we have been exercising a “catch and release” policy when they are caught stealing.
It is an informative paradox that coddled Muslims turn against us, and people who have to work their own way, mostly become loyal Americans. There is a lesson there. It is parallel with human development: spoiled children grow up to be untrustworthy adults. Children taught responsibility, have a good chance of growing up to be responsible as adults.
Obviously, someone who blows up innocent people because of a delusion, is not a person who has learned decency and responsibility.

I’m not aware of any Christians who accept KKK members as fellow Christians, as an example. I’m not aware of any Muslims who reject terrorist murderers as un-Islamic, either.

Police Say The Naked Man Arrested In Boston Was Not Tamerlan Tsarnaev
Both his nutty parents and his straight up Uncle say they are 100% certain this video is Tamerlan. Look at any of the pictures we have of Tamerlan, we can all agree that his most significant feature is his nose. Now, look at the crystall clear video images. This naked man is obviously Tamerlan beyond any reasonable doubt.
On Thursday night while police were hunting in Watertown, Mass. for bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, at one point they arrested a naked man who looks a lot like Tamerlan.
Police say the naked man is not Tamerlan, despite various conspiracy theories going around the Internet.
According to the official account, Tamerlan died after a shootout with cops, riddled with bullets and shrapnel before being run over by his brother who was fleeing the scene in an SUV.

The Watertown police department got back to us via email just to say that the naked man was not Tamerlan Tsarnaev (pictured on right and in high-res here).
The shootout with the Tsarnaev brothers occurred on Laurel Street. The journalist interviewed in this video describes naked man's capture near Nichols and Dexter, literally down the street from the shootout.
Naked man was apparently stripped, questioned, clothed, questioned some more, and reportedly let go. It's likely police stripped him because they were under citywide bomb threat and wanted to make sure he didn't have a suicide vest, but the police did not comment on that.
