No, an official is not removed from office before trial. Clinton was impeached but the Senate trial did not convict.
Conviction by the Senate removes an official from office but there is no prison. That requires a conviction from the courts.
Article 1, section 3:
The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.
Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

The Repubs in the House don’t have the courage to even bring this to the floor, and even in the infinitesimally minute chance they did, and voted to impeach, Harry Reid’s Senate will laugh heartily at it, but take no further action.
We don’t have the same Congress as we did in the late 1990s. It’s not going to happen .. ever.

Well, I did see a video of a naked man being escorted in handcuffs to the back of police car.
Police said it was the carjack victim, but how many carjack victims are handcuffed naked and put in the back of a police car?
Nowhere in that audio clip does Beck say Obama (peace be upon him) is going to be impeached.

That said, if THAT doesn’t make a difference, why would some crap Beck pulled up make traction?
Impeachment becomes a real possibility if not certainty when the eminent economic collapse occurs. A sea change is taking form. You can feel it in the air.
That said, I have to agree with many of the FR-reality posters...impeachment is a big ole stretch unless they are going to take down the whole administration from 0bama to Biden to Hillary/Kerry to Reid and Pelosi....
OMG then that would leave us with ...John Boehner for President? Sigh.
But when you have congress critters voting exemptions to 0bamacare for themselves and staff because they can't afford it...where is the muckraking bringing this to light to save the rest of America from it?
I got accused yesterday of being a troll on FR, but if Glenn is screeching about impeachment...he is becoming a distraction to the reality of the battles we can win. And if that is the case, then he has fallen into the trap of becoming a useful tool/fool for the regime.
Bringing charges against the regime will bring riots to the streets of America. Which will bring a declaration of martial law (remember all those bullets?). Watertown was just a taste and they were such compliant folks.
When Glenn's usefulness is done, he will be arrested for a number of trumped up charges. You all know he talks dangerously in the eyes of the regime...you can imagine the charges against him. But when Glenn gets taken down by the 0bama regime, no one will do anything. His fans will squeak and squawk, but Glenn has trained them to be like Ghandi.
To all those who will read this and decide to bash me...remember Glenn tells us to speak truthfully. In this case, Glenn is chasing the wrong rabbit and it will be his downfall or our Nation's. 0bama is not stupid, they did not amass this much power by being stupid. Glenn has walked into the trap.
