Body found in river may be missing Brown University student [possibly tied to Boston bombers]

The body of a young man found in the Providence River on Tuesday may be that of Sunil Tripathi, a student at Brown University who disappeared March 16, police told CNN.

A Brown rowing coach reported a body in the river near India Point Park, Lindsay Lague, a spokeswoman for the Providence Police Department, said Wednesday.

Lague said authorities may be able to identify the body as soon as Thursday morning.

When asked if it might be Tripathi, Detective Mark Sacco said it was "likely" but was cautious to say they won't know who it is until the medical examiner makes a determination.

The body is a man between the ages of 18 and 30, he said.

The Tripathi family's search for the 22-year-old philosophy major has been detailed on a Facebook page, "Help us find Sunil Tripathi."

They temporarily took down the page after they were inundated by ugly comments when Sunil Tripathi was falsely accused on social media of being one of the Boston Marathon bombers.

He was a 22 YO man, six feet tall, only 130 pounds.

Vegetarian.

I've met a few dedicated, desiccated vegetarians in my life including a distant cousin (by marriage, of course)....and they're all a little empty in their penthouse floor.

I thought they said his throat injury was when he was about to be arrested and he put the gun in his mouth?

Meh...

There are, at last count, 2 dead -openly gay- men whose murders are unsolved by the Chicao PD; also, there doesn’t appear to be any “priority” within the CPD to solve these murders.

These men had the following suspicious ties:

(1) they were parish members of Trinity UCC in Chicago
(2) they had been known to “frequent” the Men’s World “bath-house-club”. Obamugabe and “The Ballerina” are also members.

peripherally associated the marathon bombing

The only reason he was peripherally associated with the marathon bombing is because a large group of morons decided he was. That's not actually being peripherally associated.

I don’t believe in coincidences.

I believe "I don't believe in coincidences" is one of the dumbest phrases in the English language.

Good question that needs to be answered. Believe that that is one of the three Saudis that Shoebat was talking about on Michael Savage’s show, but that doesn’t answer your question. I saw something that looked like it might be a baby stroller like Shoebat said, but I couldn’t prove to myself that it definitely was from the picture.

What a load of crap. The guy was falsely speculated to be the man in photographs who we now know was Dzokhar Tsarnaev, not this man. So he is not associated with the bombing, not even “may be” associated. The only association is because he was wrongly accused by armchair internet detectives.

You might as well give it up. This once-proud "conservative" site is little more today than a meeting place for silly conspiracy theorists . . . only a step or two removed nowadays from "Rense.com" or "Godlike Productions" . . . but with far less entertainment value.

Opinions vary. :)

I stopped believing in coincidences when I became a Christian in 1981. Time has tested the validity of that change of perspective and rewarded me handsomely.

combine mental illness with college debt, crushing national debt, no job prospects ...I can think of a few things.

sometimes it’s best to be thankful for the things you escape rather than the things you receive.
