'GOP' Pollster Frank Luntz Denounced Limbaugh, Levin as 'Problematic' for GOP Future By Tim Graham Created 04/25/2013 - 7:11am

The leftists at Mother Jones are brandishing another secret tape. Pollster Frank Luntz, denounced as too conservative by liberals when he turns up on liberal networks, told a group of college students at the University of Pennsylvania this week that Rush Limbaugh and right-wing talk radio are "problematic" for the GOP and that he and Mark Levin were “killing” Marco Rubio for his immigration proposals.

Democrats have “got every other source of news on their side. And so that is a lot of what's driving it. If you take—Marco Rubio's getting his ass kicked. Who's my Rubio fan here? We talked about it. He's getting destroyed! By Mark Levin, by Rush Limbaugh, and a few others.” This might be a surprise to anyone who's listened to Rubio's actual interviews on conservative talk radio.

Luntz added, “He's trying to find a legitimate, long-term effective solution to immigration that isn't the traditional Republican approach, and talk radio is killing him. That's what's causing this thing underneath. And too many politicians in Washington are playing coy.” He also warned that if the GOP did not resolve its internal divides, it could lose the House of Representatives next year.

So much for trying to go "off the record" with a group of college kids, some of whom love Mother Jones:

Luntz asked if anyone was recording the event, and Eric Kaplan, a reporter from the college paper, the Daily Pennsylvanian, indicated that he was. Luntz requested that he turn off his recording device. Kaplan did so and agreed that this part of Luntz's talk would remain off the record. But one of the students present, Aakash Abbi, a junior majoring in philosophy, politics, and economics, started to record Luntz on his iPhone (without letting Luntz know), and Abbi has provided that recording to Mother Jones.

David Corn of Mother Jones added that this activist didn't tape everything he wanted people to know. "Abbi and two other attendees (who wish to remain anonymous), asserted that it had been irresponsible (and bad for the GOP) for right-wing talkers to pontificate about women's bodies and birth control—an obvious reference to Limbaugh's attacks last year on Sandra Fluke, a law student invited to testify before Congress on health insurance coverage of contraception. (Abbi didn't catch this part of Luntz's reply on his recording.)"

He said Luntz was blaming polarization and the GOP's problems partly on conservative media, but he didn't want his criticism of Limbaugh, Levin, and the others to reach beyond this classroom. "He was clear on this basic point: Right-wing media is not serving the national debate and not helping the GOP widen the party's appeal beyond its declining base."

He is exactly correct, not because of Rush and Mark, but because of the GOP itself.

Precisely. They can’t use the “if you don’t vote for the gop, you’ll get worse”. We already have worse now all the time while they were telling us “if you don’t vote gop” and it’s about as bad as it gets already.

Those GOP Leftists just don’t get it. By the way things are going they’ll probably put up another Romney/McLame/Dole candidate for the 2016 election and lose badly.

Luntz lost all his credibility with his goofy “focus” groups prior to the last election. They were a sham. Those clowns gave the false impression that the Kenyan was toast.

Luntz, McCain, Graham, Collins, Rove, et al are indeed GOP. GOP in turn IS democrat under guise of republican name.

It's very simple to sort it out: RINOs and the GOP equals votes for whatever Obama and his democrats want. Nothing more and nothing less.

Anyone claiming to be a republican who wants gun control, amnesty, gay marriage, abortions upon demand are RINOs (fake republicans) and are REALLY democrats without official democrat party membership. Continuous attempted appeasement with democrats (who will not budge one inch) and private dining with the president (to "resolve issues" are signs they are turncoats.

Frank Luntz was never a conservative so he can’t be a RINO. He’s a little lefty who tries to act fair and balanced with his focus groups.

Hey Frank, shut up and poll.

I said the same thing about Romney, but then I did. But never again. Now I am no longer a Republican, and I refuse to vote for any incumbent Republican except for Ted Cruz. I hope all incumbent Republicans get primary challenged. The whole party needs to be replaced or be gone.

I’m right there with you. I’m sick of having RINOS shoved down my throat and told to vote for the slower path to ruin. It doesn’t appear that the GOP has the desire or the ability to get itself in shape; therefore, if this nation is going to hell anyway, why bother with a slower speed of destruction. Won’t vote for RINOS even if Rush or Levin support them.

[Mr. Luntz, if you are trolling or having your people troll, you have done NO favors to this country by attempting to further discredit Limbaugh on college campuses. All you do is discredit conservatism to our country’s detriment.]

Frank really shouldn't worry, his good buddy Sean Hannity will come to his rescue. Why, I bet even today Hannity will have him on his radio show with his typical a$$ kissing introduction:

“And here he is, the great Frank Luntz! How are you my friend?”

Sean Hannity loves him some RINOs!

Not that any of you good people want to waste your valuable time, but if you're so inclined, here's Luntz e-mail contact from his website. I think I'll shoot him off a short e-mail. Maybe this little RINO paid for hack will get the point he's not that popular.

“Me too - im so done right now. The GOP needs to go away.”

I agree!

We've seen what being loyal to the party has gotten us...NOTHING! I know Rush always gives us the solemn warning that “Third parties never work, we must change the GOP from the inside...yada...yada.” Okay, Rush, again I (we) ask, what has that gotten us? NOTHING!

The only political power (for lack of a better term) that I have left is to either change parties, or simply not vote. If the GOPe insist on giving up all out core values, they can damn well do it without me!

I will never vote for Rubio, and I will NEVER, EVER vote for another Bush!
