A transgender teenager running for prom king at a central Pennsylvania school is upset because he's listed instead for prom queen.
The York Dispatch and the York Daily Record report Red Lion Senior High School students who bought tickets for Saturday's prom were listed on the ballot for prom court. The newspapers say 18-year-old Issak Wolfe was campaigning for prom king when friends discovered he was listed by his birth name, Sierra Stambaugh, among the candidates for prom queen.

1) Kings and Queens used to be nominated by their peers i.e. it was a mark of admiration or esteem. Campaigning for it is pathetic.
2) What guarantee does this sad attention-seeker have that he/she/it will have a date?

That caught my attention too.....the idea of “campaigning” for Queen. (the entire idea of King is sick to begin with...)
If the have girls parts they are girls if the have boy parts they are boys. If they “think” they are something else they are mentally ill..........

You think the school is wrong to use one unique name (as per the student registry) for each student registered at the school?
What you propose would lead to chaos: imagine if I were a student and demanded to be known as “Flash” in History, “Geronimo” in Algebra, “Spinoza” in English, “Whataburger” in Science, and “Alice” at the dance.
Give me a break; what the school did is reasonable, fair, sensible, and totally justifiable. What this student is asking for is asinine.
She's trying to pretend to be a boy and wants the school to play along with her psychosis.
The school listed "him" as a girl because "he" IS a girl. "His" name is Sierra Stambaugh. "He" is registered at the school by the name Sierra Stambaugh, and that is the name the school used. It surely can't be much of a secret that the guy is actually a girl if "he" is registered as a girl and has a girl's name. This sad example needs to get counseling, because she will NEVER have a pair of testicles, the ordinary indicator of maleness.
