I know exactly what you mean! And we also feel very blessed to be part of a good school. But the girls know its always ok to call mom or dad if they just feel something isn't quite right.

I grew up in the 80s. Things seemed so simple and easy. Now everything is so dark and serious. Sometimes we have to actually stop ourselves and make a real effort to lighten up and be silly.

There are no good schools - at least not public ones anyway

It doesn’t matter if you know the teachers, they do not set the curriculum.

There are no good schools your children are being abused if you let them attend a public school

The 80’s were dark and serious in a lot of ways. The Carter recession, more Cold War brinksmanship, an assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan, AIDS awareness, the crack cocaine epidemic and gangs, the death of Rock and Roll...
