Philip Mudd, former counterterror expert for the CIA and the FBI
--
"I would charge these guys as murders not terrorists," Mudd said of the suspects in the attack on the Boston Marathon.
--
"What I fear though is that people too quickly categorize this as terrorism," Mudd added. "This looks more to me like Columbine than it does like Al Qaeda."
--
"Two kids who radicalized between themselves in a closed circle and go out and commit murder," Mudd observed. "I would charge these guys as murderers, not terrorists."

America is probably lost for good. We have a media willing to lie to the public, and a public dumb enough to believe it.
Thank you for the reply, I don’t disagree.
hee hee hee
I don’t think he is too literal like Spock. I think he knows what he is doing and has sold his soul in a pack with the Devil.
If you sleep with evil on this scale it rubs off.
..... But ... you know .... Unfortunately ... this is just might be the result of what the term ..... "Elections have Consequences" looks like!
...... We had our chance in 2012 .... and somehow we dropped the ball! Soooooo .... The only hope now is for us to pick up the pieces of what is left of this country in 2016 right?!!?!
.... OOOOOPS!!! .... With the way that the direction that the immigration reform is going .... That probably won't happen either LOL
... Yep .... This whole thing kind of reminds me of an old saying my father used to say to me many years ago when I was a little manling after Jimmy Carter was elected President. He used to say to me over and over .... and over again:.... "You know son .... "Elections do have consequences!"
..... And I'll be damned .... I'm beginning to think he just may have been right.
I am aware of that, see:

Can you say useful idiot.
We put too much stress on psychology and too little on commonsense. The psychological explanation relieves the investigators of the need to look further into radical Islamic circles in the area.
..... Yes... sadly what you said was just the beginning of things.
... The one who now sits in the Oval office .... once considered the seat of freedom .... Is an unknown man like no other. Ice courses through his veins ... pumped by a heart of darkness as he dismantles this country ... stone by stone .... brick by brick, while those that were sent by us to stop the demise of freedom .... stumble and turn to look back like those that had to gaze upon Sodom just one more time. They became willing accomplices, useful idiots, in her destruction with the hope of the promises that the Master Destroyer tempted them with.
.... Because they lost sight of their mission .... all that is left of them will be crumbling pillars of stupidity.
Mudd is an imbecile who probably votes democrat.
Absolutely. The motive to advance a cause is the discriminant between terrorism and senseless violence.
Of course, that doesn't mean losers can't be terrorists or that terrorists are often losers. After all, feeling part of a larger cause, such as the Caliphate, can't help but boost a loser's self esteem.
The current pair are especially interesting in that they had 72 hours, more or less, to get out of Dodge, yet they chose to hang around and act as if nothing had happened. It seems they never had an escape plan. Zero tradecraft! They were totally incompetent!
I read earlier that Tamerlan told his mother that the FBI called him Thursday afternoon and told him he needed to come in for questioning. He told them to go to hell. Then came the press conference and the photos. Uh oh! That seems to be what precipitated the murderous chaos of Thursday evening.
It seems the FBI didn't learn their identity until they checked Tamerlan's remains after the Watertown shootout. As I recall, the FBI released the first photos showing their faces in decent resolution were released early Friday morning, as the fog of war was clearing.
Reportedly, Tamerlan's American wife was working 70-hour weeks as a home health aide, while Tamerlan played househusband when he wasn't making bombs.
Should we treat the Boston Bomber harsher than James Holmes or Jared Lee Loughner?
We can't kill him twice, but if we could... Yes, he should be treated differently that someone who is insane. He made an attack against his country as an act of war, and precluding declaring Islam to me a mental illness, he committed treason. He should be tried for treason and then for murder.
Agreed.
Thanks for the additional info.
Had not heard about the call from the FBI on Thursday.
Does this mean they were more aware than they have admitted of his potential and the danger? Does it mean he was in fact actively monitored?
Or does it mean they (or NSA) heard some tidbit of his cell phone or internet traffic? (sounds more likely)
Of course, it is terrorism.
Not even the ComDem spinners can distort the reality on this.
I doubt it. I believe the FBI has stated they didn't learn the identities until shortly after the Watertown shootout.
To me, the report (if true) confirms that the FBI was not yet onto him, that they still considered him of peripheral interest, as somebody to be ruled out as a matter of due diligence. If they had considered him a serious suspect, I'm sure they would have shown up in force at 410 Norfolk Street and pulled him in.
The FBI's Thursday press conference was a good move. It smoked 'em out. Even though the released photos and videos didn't show the faces well enough for identification, the brothers had to know the game was up. Better photos would be found (they were, by early Friday morning). Or somebody would recognize them and report them. So, they made their chaotic getaway attempt, in which MIT Officer Sean Collier was killed.
I have a lot of faith in some of the FBI agents. Have NO FAITH in any of the leadership.
With the Lies and Deception that are clear within the Obozo Administration, anything they say is suspect.
...”We ignore that fact at our peril”.....
And as this bombing shows, and the media trying hard to frame the killer for something other than what he is...thus indeed we will face further happenings as this...’enabling’ the enemy to continue his war against the US People....and what’s more alarming...they know it.
There’s a whole lot going on here than elections....war is war no matter who is in office...some make it easier for the bad guys , some not...but this ISlamic war knows no end until it is seen for exactly what it is..and called that!
