A startling home-made video now shows the terrifying moments where Watertown residents were forced out of their homes at gunpoint as SWAT teams performed door-to-door searches as they hunted the second marathon bomber. While millions of Bostonians waited in their houses on Friday during the city-wide lockdown, the people of Watertown were faced with SWAT officers yelling at them to get out of the buildings immediately. At the time, the Boston police department and federal agents were barely criticized, but now many are concerned about the dangerous precedent that could lead to more police searches using the rationale of exigent circumstances as an excuse.

I have a snow bird neighbor from MA and she is such a lost cause. I remarked one day about all the laws and regulations taking our freedom and she didn’t have a clue what I meant. I tried explaining it to her, but quickly realized she had no idea what freedom even means. It was like talking to someone from another planet; she can only see the “good” in laws and regulations and felt there was no downside. She is not an in your face liberal, but has had way to much Kool aid- if you say anything against Obama or his policies she tears up as though she is so hurt she will cry.
EVERY 2nd amendment debate from this time forward should start with that video...
I had a rotten day and am going to ask the question that may get me banned for the 3rd time:
What, exactly, is the difference between this article and the infowars article I wasn’t permitted to post? Besides, of course, the source...this is pathetic.
He looks pretty good for a guy the has both legs blown off and should have bled out by now.
Really? Did you notice the tourniquets? What was the reason for your post?
Bye Bye.
After Sandy Hook, I have become VERY skeptical of any highly reported on event. There are a lot of question about this one too.
Not nearly as pathetic as Infowars.
I’m sorry, but anyone who wasn’t chilled to the core when they saw the paramilitary police units roll into Watertown is beyond hope.
I saw that and frankly wondered what the heck Boston was celebrating the Monday of the bombing. Patriot’s Day? The “Shot Heard ‘round the World”. Or the beginning of Police State USA?
The video is really remarkable:
1. Why would a resident answer the door to that armed group? The mayor or chief of police when on the media and told residence not to answer the door for anyone but the police? These guys looked nothing like the police. I saw no badges on their chests. They appeared to be an invading army? How is a resident to know it is not the bombers in army fatigues?
2. What in the world were those idiots making anyone who did not resemble the suspects in the least come out with their arms up and then frisk them. What was the reasonable suspicion for this. There is a huge class action law suit against the city or state waiting to be filed for this behavior. They had no reason and no circumstances to force middle aged women out of the house with their hand up or on their heads and then to frisk them. If they had a weapon that was their business.
it is a practice’run for what is coming.
don’t open the effing doors, get in your safe rooms, get your animals in them too. call your lawyers and call 911, and tell them to get a f##king warrant, and arm up. make’sure your’homes have a pre-made sign on them’”YOU are being videotaped for court evidence, it is being archived on youtube, lawyer has been called, if you want to talk, get a warrant, the constitution applies to you”
these are militant thugs with badges. they were all going home after pulling this shit when a citizen reported blood on the side of his boat that wasn’t there earlier in the day.
Let me add to my post.
3. Since the government are treating him as a simple criminal not an out of uniform enemy combatant, that makes the actions in the video even worse.
Nice zinger (not).
Now, the video published on right-wing conservative news blog InfoWars, asserts that the searches were involuntary, as all residents were forced out of their homes whether they liked it or not.
You obviously didn't READ it: This is an article ABOUT the Infowars posting.
I reiterate: Pathetic.
I agree that Jones is a bit loony, but banning posts from a site that sometimes gets it right (this is validation) is, in a word, the word I used prior, not the site itself.
They still caught him. This is not a movie set BTW.
” Friends” are the key ingredient to stopping all this crap.
I never called for banning posts from any site. I also disagree that Infowars is a "right-wing conservative news blog".
