On Monday, the Obama White House reportedly held a moment of silence for the victims of last weeks Boston terror attack. For whatever reason, however, the press was barred and the White House released this photo of the president looking at his shoes paying his respects:
Over at White House Dossier, Keith Koffler notes that this is another in a series of carefully crafted images released from the White House designed to craft Obamas image in the wake of the terrorist attack:
Presidents rarely engage in this type of private symbolism, which has regal sense to it the leader presuming that citizens will want to know he has paternal concern for them and possesses a deep sense of empathy. Obama could easily have taken the more traditional route for the leader of a republic and led the nation together in a moment of silence.
Or he could have privately observed the moment without mentioning it to anyone.

Use the “moment of silence” file photo, and Obama won’t have to delay his tee time.
Reminds me of his photo op after the death of Neil Armstrong—staring at the moon, no date on the picture. “Find something with Obama and the Moon!”
He was thinking of his favorite song lyrics:
North side, east side
Little Willy, Willy wears the crown, he’s the king around town
Dancing, glancing
Willy drives them silly with his star shoe shimmy shuffle down
Way past one, and feeling all right
‘Cos with little Willy round they can last all night
Hey down, stay down, stay down down
‘Cos little Willy, Willy won’t go home
But you can’t push Willy round
Willy won’t go, try tellin’ everybody but, oh no
Little Willy, Willy won’t go home
On the flag.
He’s setting up a walk through for his tee shot. Moment of silence, what’s that?
Obama isn’t the problem. His foolish followers are .
That photo is hilarious. What a fraud.
I kept expecting the next pic to be of him kneeling down and arranging rocks in a cross...
