There will be some that will soon post reasons about how this was necessary, but note how much their arguments sound like the Progressives arguments against the 2nd amendment.

Like I said.....500,000 eyes is better than 10,000 eyes.

AND THE 500,000 eyes absolutely FAILED.

Sooo...

the billions of dollars are spent to militarize the police,

but that same money wasn’t spent to check up on a thug that Russia told us to keep an eye on???

Honestly..... I’m not sure how well declaring martial law and going through people’s houses without a warrant works in Oklahoma or Texas. Probably get a bunch of people shot before it was over with.

Odd how 0bama cut bomb detection funding by 45% but suddenly for this, there’s all kinds of money available!

Does anyone else wonder what would have happened if thepolice were met at the door by a homeowner holding a shotgun? Or a bad dog? Or just told the police to get the phuck out of their home?

Nothing gives the police the right to act this way in America.Women coming out of their own home with their hands up like criminals.

A couple of hundred years ago somthing similar happened in Boston, preceded by a registration program.

Those that registered had their guns confiscated - those that didn't, left town to hang in the outskirts.

Make a long story short - the ones who kept their guns ended up defeating and tossing out the oppressors.

Then decided to enshrine the right to bear arms in a way that could never be overturned.

DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN??

These intruders were working ‘round the clock to find the bombers, and probably very tired. Not too hard to imagine one of them taking a quick nap on someones couch once someone’s home was cleared.

The third amendment is rarely talked about, but the above scenario would/could bring it into play so easily when the attitudes are so cavalier going into homes of innocent citizens.

I found three things about the Boston bombing worth noting:

1) Video cameras are everywhere in Boston but prevented nothing.

2) The willingness of the Boston population to be penned up and have their travel restricted by "sheltering in place".

3) The well known "tough" gun control laws prevented citizens the opportunity of defending themselves if the situation had arisen. These same "tough" laws never prevented the bad guys from obtaining and using guns.

Also, in recent shootings, the MSM has screamed about the "assault weapons" used but in the case of obvious terrorism, they are silent on the type of weapons used except this (typically) idiotic Yahoo/Reuters story on that:

I have been severely criticized on this forum for suggesting that local LEO are not to be trusted if or when fedzilla decides to impose gun confiscation.

I realize that some sheriffs in some parts of the country have publicly refused to enforce gun confiscation.

OTOH ... the behaviour of Boston PD (etc.) last week suggests that they’re perfectly willing to play JBT.

Were they using sound tactics? If that window contained a machine gun nest instead of a camera, could’ve been bad. No one seemed even to notice or check any of the other windows overlooking the site. Far be it from me to say; I don’t have any combat experience... just askin’.

Amazing that they were able to muster their troops, all decked out in stormtrooper gear, on a moment’s notice. Even the police dogs had their bullet proof vests strapped on. Nazi style helmets, armored cars, even tanks were all ready to roll. The question is not so much how as why were they so well prepared?

We learned in the OJ Case in Las Vegas that this is and was FELONY KIDNAPPING. Personally I would have been screaming FU, get a warrant, at them, as well as FU. It would not have been pleasant. How long before the Federal Lawsuits start getting filed for this Tyranny and Abuse of Power??

They had some toys and some tactics they wanted to try out. This was a good excuse.

It’s important to get Law Enforcement and the People into the right frame of mind, too.
