Federal investigators have begun questioning hospitalized Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and he is responding, according to reports on Sunday night.
NBC News’ Pete Williams reported that Tsarnaev, 19, is beginning to respond to a team of federal investigators mainly through writing. Williams reported that he is being questioned for brief periods and that he has difficulty communicating because of his throat injuries.
Tsarnaev was listed in serious but stable condition at a Boston hospital where he has remained since being detained by authorities on Friday, NBC said. He has been intubated and sedated, according to reports.
ABC News reported that investigators are asking about other possible terrorist cell members as well as about undetected explosives as they attempt to determine the motive for the deadly attack.
It is unclear whether Tsarnaev was read his Miranda rights before the questioning began, although it was expected he would not be under an exception permitted when public safety could still be in danger.
Formal charges against him may be filed Monday....

Might be too late on this thread, but is it just me, or does anyone else find it strange that after this guy apparently took a hit in the leg, shot himself in the head “throat”, the pictures posted of him climbing out of the boat, giving himself up to the Feds does not seem to fit what a person could do in fine form after sustaining those injuries. Just curious????
I do find it very interesting he’s in a hospital with an Israel name....with the victums he tried to kill..imagine what he will be thinking once he’s aware that those he tried to kill are not far from him...
This guys going to be paranoid and have some psycological turmoil...Lot on his plate to deal with pscologically......
-Killed His own Brother..at least ran over him..dead.
-Everyone he once knew knows what he did.
-People in the same hospital he’s in might like to do him harm.
-Handcuffed to his bed...as a friendly reminder he’s a terrorist.
-There by himself...no family...only strangers. (Yet)
-FBI, Police and all asking questions.
-Won’t ever have the pot he once used.
-No texting.
-No freedom.
-Failed suicide attempt. ( if that ends up as suspected)
-And a death sentence hanging over his head.

The negotiators are amazing at their work to get criminals to do what they want.
They said he was so weak they simply went in and scooped him up.
The younger one is a naturalized citizen, on 2012-09-11.
His older brother was never naturalized, perhaps because he had an arrest (conviction?) for domestic assault in 2009.

I love it that the radical MUSLIM TERRORIST is being held at Beth ISRAEL Hospital.
I think he was originally shipped to a different hospital. One hopes the irony and humor of the hospital transfer was intentional.
I expect that IV they no doubt first put Joker on had the same stuff in it that we use to cure bacon. I’d have preferred a direct bacon IV but what the heck. And does Joker know yet that he’s in a Jewish hospital? That should get him talking/humming/writing/scribbling or whatever he does. I volunteered to donate a pint of my blood , the bacon content of which would have had him kraving hash browns and scrambled eggs before the day was over. Will CAIR be in there making sure the little heathen gets a proper goat meat diet to recover with?
To deny this scumball his miranda rights is a dangerous game. We need to make sure the LEO’s always know that the criminal will get his day in court.
