Why in the world should we do that? He can file on his insurance, file a claim to the police, the city, etc. Why should we?
As a thank you from fellow Americans or what-have you.....he must be emotional knowing this manhunt ended in his boat/backyard.....
I don’t profess to know the owner’s circumstances. Does he have insurance? If so, would insurance cover something like this? Maybe not.
And if I was a resident of Boston or the surrounding area, I might not appreciate having my tax dollars pay for a new boat.
I also suspect that the people responsible for this effort feel a bit of gratitude to this guy for his part in finding and apprehending the terrorist.
