The UK Daily Mirror is reporting that the FBI is hunting a 12-person sleeper cell connected to the Boston marathon terrorists:
Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.
More than 1,000 FBI operatives were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.
A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.
“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”
A specialist team of CIA and FBI interrogators was yesterday flown to a Boston hospital to grill wounded Dzhokhar, 19, about the secret group.
The tone of the coverage in America's press is quite different -- more soothing, shall we say. For example, a headline from today's Boston Globe reads: "Islam might have had a secondary role in Boston attacks."
So which is it? Obviously, it's almost inconceivable that America's press would miss a story of this dimension -- and the Mirror is a down-market tabloid. On the other hand, tabloids have beaten the "respectable" press to many big stories, including, for instance, the whole John Edwards scandal. And it's obvious the MSM has gone soft in the Age of Obama.
Linking this story, Hugh Hewitt's (@hughhewitt) had the most pungent assessment: "Either UK's Mirror makes stuff up or the MSM is in complete collapse." Once, the answer would have been clear. These days, it isn't.
All they are arguing about is to Mirandize or Not Mirandize not so they can find out "who else" but to find out "why".
And not a word about Islam or Menino's Mosque.

Major media outlets have become part of the Obama team...all we will get from them is what the administration wants us to know.

“Islam may have had a SECONDARY role?” Are they smoking something?
They are afraid of the truth.
When they say they are going to "grill" him, I hope they mean that literally.
The MSM is desperate to control the flow of thought - not just information, but of thought.
The Leftist narrative of “Right-Wing Extremists Did It” got blown out of the sky. Now they have to work on containment. They shall at every opportunity reinforce multicultural-diversity-tolerance in the minds of the public, and divert all attention away from the fact that Al Qaeda is still fighting the war, even though Odinga spiked the ball and declared peace.
This is the equivalent of rubbing the alligator’s belly and putting it back to sleep.
George Steponallofus just did mention it on ABC.
Glen Beck is promising to drop a news bomb tomorrow, about the Saudi connection between the Boston bombers and the WH.
This statement really calls the credibility of the source into question. As time passed after the bombs went off on Monday, the level of "sophistication" declined considerably. Remember the initial reports of 6-10 additional bombs found all over downtown Boston, and the unconfirmed reports of cell phone service being shut down to prevent additional detonations?
By the time the suspects were identified late Thursday night it was clear that this wasn't a sophisticated attack at all. There were only two bombs after all -- and they were dropped right there at the scene by the two mutants themselves just minutes before they explosed. Their names and photos were posted all over the internet within minutes, because they didn't even try very hard to hide their identities.
so by my arithmetic, that's STILL 100,000 dedicated TERRORISTS!!!
That’s right. If the MSM reported on a sleeper cell and this being a coordinated terrorist attack, the American public might think — God forbid — that Obama bungled homeland security with deadly results.
BECK: “Tell the truth by Monday, or else!”
GOV: “Or else, what?”
BECK: “Or else... I will be very, very angry with you. And I will write you a letter, telling you how angry I am...”
