Good morning, AB, All .
.This is my first week on this thread after the loss of my husband on 4/9/13. Many of you know that he’d been sick, including a massive brain infection almost five years ago.
This time, my beloved Billy decided he wanted to die at home.
He died peaceably and without pain it seems. It was grueling for me...someday I might be able to talk about it.
The funeral was this past week and several things to note as regards this event .for a winsome smile perhaps, maybe I can get back to laughing.
First, these Boston bombings.
Folks, you do know that Billy’s family is from Mass.? They had to travel to Logan and all the craziness in the middle of all this.
Second, Billy died on 4/9/13. His brother that Billy so adored, is a CPA, has his own business.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, we had to postpone the funeral until April 16 so the man wouldn’t go bankrupt by missing the most busy days of the tax season.
Billy would have wanted it that way.
One of the more pleasant surprises was a Freeper showing up at the funeral home, a reader of this thread in fact! That was a wonderful surprise.
For Billy participated, through me, in this thread every Sunday. He listened to Meet the Press and Fox Sunday with me and he had an opinion on everything.
I miss him so much but I am doing ok, don’t fret for me.
So many friends showed up to help me through this I am beyond grateful.
Life goes on and so we shall.
I’m taking good care of Billy’s cats.
As always AB, thank you for doing this thread. It’s especially important to me today.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I don’t often come to this thread any more (usually no internet on weekends), but am thankful today so that I might send my condolences. I’ve followed your stories of skirmishes with the state Republican establishment but had no idea your husband was ill. Again, my sincerest sympathy on your loss.
Pat, I am so sorry for your loss of Billy. I cannot imagine losing your husband. A big, big hug to you.
Just got back from mass. We said a prayer for Billy and lit a candle.
So sorry for your loss. Thanks for posting and letting us know. We need you on this thread.
(((( HUGS ))))
I am sorry for your loss. Words always seem so inadequate. As a fellow Catholic who also sings, I have always enjoyed your posts on so many subjects. May God bless you and your family.
