On Wednesday, author Ann Coulter blasted Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) for his support of the immigration reform bill which is being put forth by the “Gang of Eight” that he is a part of. Her headline was classic Coulter, “IF RUBIO’S AMNESTY IS SO GREAT, WHY IS HE LYING?”. In it, she proceeds to expose the obvious problems with the Florida Senator’s proposed immigration legislation.
“When Republicans start lying like Democrats, you can guess they are pushing an idea that’s bad for America,” the conservative author wrote. “During his William Ginsburg-like tour of the Sunday talk shows last weekend, Sen. Marco Rubio was the Mount Vesuvius of lies about his immigration bill.”
Coulter pointed to Rubio’s appearance on Fox News Sunday, in which he explained the powerful border-enforcing mechanism, which he denied was merely a meaningless goal. He said, “Basically, Homeland Security will have five years to meet that goal. If after five years, Homeland Security has not met that number, it will trigger the Border Commission, who will then take over this issue for them.”
Coulter then sarcastically commented, “So the water torture awaiting the Department of Homeland Security if it fails to secure the border is … ANOTHER GOVERNMENT COMMISSION WILL BE CREATED! Take that, Homeland Security! Ha — we have you now! The only thing more frightening than ‘another government commission’ is a ‘strongly worded letter.’”

Just as I was saying, you don’t get it. At all. You seem unable to grasp the premise - Spanish speakers are not an undifferentiated mass, and mere language does not override cultural, regional, class, racial, ethnic and political differences. Mexicans living in the US are not fooled or swayed by an adopted accent or borrowed colloquialisms. Their ”rechaso” re Rubio comes from what he is - a white Cuban not on board with the Castro regime. The ”Catholic” Mexicans and Central Americans living here vote Dem. There are many reasons why. Learn about them before you opine.
I to disagree with what they're doing, but throwing the word traidors around this kind of harsh. They are in fact doing exactly what the Constitution gives them the power to do. I think Rush was being polite. Rubio is teamed up with John McCain, Chuck Schumer, and Lindsey Graham to push through legislation that Obama and the Democrats want and that will benefit the Democrat party and destroy the Republican party. A true conservative would not be for that.

I don't really believe, and I doubt you do either, that using a Constitutional power given them by one Article of the Constitution makes them in violation of another Article.
You might have a hard time convincing a court that we are in a declared war against those effected by this legislation.
Your position was that I was misusing the word “treason” and or that aiding and abetting the enemy is not. It is. And they are traitors. And, yes, the nation is at war.
We are not at war with undocumented democrats, they are law breakers and should be prosecuted, but not enemy warriors.
Does the congress have the obligation to protect the borders, YES, but they also have the obligation to protect our currency, our trade, and our legal system, all of which they have failed to do.
We are at war with Islamic terrorists and the nations that harbor them. It is absolutely essential that a nation secures its borders during war time. That war is already spilling over into our streets!!

You’re indicating it can’t be changed, and that I’m stupid. Not only do I not know...I also don’t care. I doubt that “hispanics” crack 1/10th percent of the Maine population.
But if somebody is willing to try something that hasn’t been attempted before, I’d say more power to him. Why would I crap all over the effort?
They seem to forget that part about guaranteeing each state the freedom from invasion.
They are given the power to make immigration laws, fact. Exercising that power is not treason. To throw terms like treason around loosely will water down the term when it is real and needed. Cry wolf enough and no one will pay attention to you.
