The disaster which is this government's incompetence in dealing with imminent jihadist threats gets even worse.
Earlier today, we reported on how DHS failed to deport Chechen Muslim terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2009, despite his domestic violence assault - a deportable action in U.S. immigration law.
Now CBS is reporting that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated Tsarnaev two years ago "at the request of a foreign government" that thought he had ties to terrorism - and cleared him .
CBS reported that the FBI initially DENIED this investigation had occurred - until Tsarnaev's own mother appeared on Russian TV to provide embarrassing details into the inquiry.
An FBI official has confirmed that the bureau interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of two suspected Boston Marathon bombers, in 2011 at the request of a foreign government that suspected he had ties to a terrorist organization. The interview was conducted by the FBI in Boston, said the official. The investigation found “no derogatory information” and the case was closed, according to the official, who refused to identify the country or the terrorist organization.CBS' John Miller said this 'foreign government' was undoubtedly Russia, who has felt the brunt of savage Chechen Muslim attacks over the past 15 years. In 2004 Chechen Islamic militants attacked a school in Beslan, North Ossetia, Russia and they murdered 380 children, parents, teachers and visitors after holding more than 1,000 captive for three days.
And other reports detail how Russia repeatedly warned the United States against its insane policy of granting Chechens asylum and refugee status.
The elder Tsarnaev brother, 26 - who was killed by police last night - was investigated and even interviewed by the FBI in 2011, before being cleared. Yesterday it was revealed that Tsarnaev returned to Chechnya for six months last year, reportedly to receive jihadist training. He also had ties to a radical Australian Imam who is connected to Al Queda.
In 1995, al Qaeda setup a camp in Chechnya—ordered by Osama bin Laden—to train “international terrorists” to carry out plots against Americans and westerners.The FBI knew to take accusations of Chechen terrorism seriously, and also knew about Tamerlan Tsarnaev's domestic assault, but like the DHS, did nothing about it.And this wasn't the first time. The FBI interviewed Muslim Carlos Bledsoe in Little Rock, Ark., before he shot up an Army recruiting station in 2009. They also looked into jihadist mass-murderer Major Nidal Hasan before the Fort Hood shootings, and cleared him too despite clear evidence of radicalization by foreign imams.
The Feds' blind spot for Muslim immigrants and refugees keeps putting this nation at greater risk. How can we trust them to keep us safe under a new immigration reform bill that will admit even MORE foreign nationals on visas?
Then there's also some possibility that this was an sting operation gone bad.

He was on their radar after his trip to russian and before that. they have a big file on him. once they had the lord and Taylor footage and other video and photos, his face didn’t ring a bell with anyone? BULLCRAP!

Some dumkopf on the radio last night said that bomber TT was working with the FBI these past few years, not that he was being investigated. The spin begins.
I’d say bomber TT was being investigated and when his mom asked him about it, he lied and said that he’s working for them. Mom believed him. Why shouldn’t she? That’s why she was claiming “it’s a set up!”
hmmm...Let’s see....mooslim terrorists cleared by Holder FBI in 2011....who was president then? Oh, yeah, our first mooslim president, Hussein Obama.
And how many of the FBI are now Muslim? or other security and government “specialists”?
Its due to the larger issues - the overall POLICY towards the War on Terror was stupid, dangerous, and in the ned very costly for America.
Flawed things come from failed ideas.
All those troopers and Federales, dressed up as if for an action film, and they made UTTERLY NO DIFFERENCE. One jihadist was killed by local police in a shootout in which they braved bullets and pipe bombs. The other jihadist was busted by an alert housewife after the thousands of jackboots had given up. This entire incident was a terrific agrument for SMALLER GOVERNMENT. The post-capture pats-on-backs press conference was disgusting - almost all of those people made utterly no difference whatsoever in the result, including the FBI, ATF, and affirmative action U.S. Attorney.
So much for background checks.

In one report, the mother said the FBI had been tracking or stalking him for two years. That doesn’t sound like she thought he was working for them.
We`uns is armed and dangerous to all communists and terrorists. If we find any moslem on our properties or in our boats we shoot to kill.
We don need no cops to protect us.
