Actually, on Fox they've mentioned several times that the FBI interviewed the older one ( I think) about extremist activities in 2011 at the request of a 'foreign government'. I figured being Chechnya, it had to be the Ruskies.

Of course the FBI decided, nothing to see here, move on.

THEY COULDA HAD THESE GUYS ARRESTED LONG AGO!

grrrrrr.

why don't we let more war refugees into this country too? We must be overpopulated and need to kill a few more of us off.

I've said this on multiple threads, and will repeat as necessary. . .

Just heard (as arrest was imminent) a commenter on Fox News suggest there is a lack of confidence in the local FBI (in response to the revelation of foreign request re:Tamerlin two years ago)

Begs the question, just how much did the 2006 (& any subsequent) affirmative action push to heavily recruit Muslim agents into the FBI impact this decision to close the file on Tamerlin two years ago?

"I figured being Chechnya, it had to be the Ruskies."

Most likely, although I understand the older brother was a huge follower and devotee of a particular Australian imam, so Australia would be my second guess...

As I posted on another thread this evening...

..after a foreign government alerted officials...

What government?...what "officials"?...who interviewed?...what techniques were used?...who kept followup information/tabs?...how many such "suspects" lived in the proximity of the event and immediately came to mind from such a recent interview/interrogation?...etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.,...

One of the more important stories coming out of this whole fiasco IMHO
