Actually, on Fox they've mentioned several times that the FBI interviewed the older one ( I think) about extremist activities in 2011 at the request of a 'foreign government'. I figured being Chechnya, it had to be the Ruskies. Of course the FBI decided, nothing to see here, move on.

THEY COULDA HAD THESE GUYS ARRESTED LONG AGO!

What government?...what "officials"?...who interviewed?...what techniques were used?...who kept followup information/tabs?...how many such "suspects" lived in the proximity of the event and immediately came to mind from such a recent interview/interrogation?...etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.,...

One of the more important stories coming out of this whole fiasco IMHO
