Actually, it isn't. Granted, MA is not a shall-issue state, but that just means that issuance is at the discretion of the local police chief. Outside Boston and Cambridge, most police chiefs are quite rkba-friendly. There are a *lot* of CC permit holders in MA.

If we learned anything from the Boston Bombing:
1) Every house should have at least one gun in it to protect yourselves from terrorists and or nuts on the loose.
Imagine yourself in Watertown knowing a kook is on the loose and you need to lock yourself in your house and you had NO protection?
Imagine all the cameras taking images and videos where and when the bombing occurred.
Imagine all the world class investigators immediately viewing these images and videos.
Imagine all the disinformation that was released during the next four days.
Imagine that in total it took over four days to identify suspects and only after Obama gave his Boston speech.
This smells rotten and it smells like politics.

Well, consider me to be someone who is strongly opposed to committing a felony in order to exercise my civil rights.
It seems from your posts the MA govt. has almost no credibility among a significant portion of the populace. Government losing the respect of criminals is one thing. Losing the respect of the citizenry is a dangerous situation for all imo.
