“Pierre Thomas reports suspect won’t get Miranda warning. Feds will invoke a public safety exception”
Gosh, I wish I could have rode along in the ambulance. You know, to ‘comfort him’ and help him with anything he felt he needed to get off his chest (like my knee).
FNC just said Lindsey Graham said they should not read him his Miranda rights - he should be treated as an enemy combatant.
Pants intentionally halfway down his rear end.....I wouldn’t think jihadi’s would appreciate such jive-wear.
Thank you, FRiends, for your excellent reporting today!!! :)
Great job by Free Republic reporting on this story. I checked this thread all day, it was way ahead of what I was hearing in the MSM. Money is tight but I’ll be sending alittle something out to help pay the bills. Well done.
Very likely not, and your dogs (as would nearly all dogs) WOULD take such a home invasion personally.
This is not something Freepers should be celebrating. :(
“At this moment, heavily armed members of the military, assisted by local law enforcement”
Not good that the military *and* law enforcement are both willing to do this to American citizens
Siri, you blithering bimbo ... what the hell is a weatherboard?
Excellent.
So, Tom, why didn’t the dogs find him and why couldn’t they track the blood trail?
You’re welcome. :)
I’ve been sitting here during all this wondering where I could safely stash the dogs to keep them from being killed.
Can’t think of anywhere.
Every place that came to mind would be on a search list, no doubt.
Maybe I should try to pick them all up and hold them?
:-\
As you know, I’ve thrown myself between a jacked-up cop and one of my dogs already.
It’s not a pleasant experience.
We can pray for their safety. God’s arm of protection is more powerful than anything they can throw at us.
:)
I dunno...staring down the barrel of a .38 leaves you feeling pretty alone and vulnerable.
However, I wasn’t shot that night and neither was the dog so maybe...
I don’t know how many dogs you have, nor their sizes, but there are wire and soft sided crates which can be folded flat and stored under a sofa or bed. Just a thought...
Apparently, the guy lying on the ground was not a bomber, but they were afraid he might be involved and have explosives on him. I think they made him get naked before allowing him up and into a police car, at least they showed a naked man getting into the car, I presume it was the same guy who was probably not involved.
Meanwhile here is an excellent, long article on the take down. The only detail it missed was the use of “flash bangs” to disorient the bomber before they grabbed him.

Four, ranging in size from 18”/25 lbs to 30”/100 pounds.
Two of the dogs could use folding crates but I’m not sure they make them big enough for the Dobermanns.
Or even if I’d have time to ‘stow them away’ during a sudden search.
People shouldn’t even have to worry about stuff like this.

“Police were alerted to his whereabouts by a man who went outside after authorities lifted an order for residents to stay inside during the manhunt. The resident saw blood on a boat in the backyard, Davis said. He then lifted up the tarp covering the boat and “saw a man covered with blood,” he said.”
The boat owner lifted the tarp??
Wow, that could’ve been a bad thing.
